Maybe they are shy, but are trying to show interest, and just aren't very good at it? <---Is not Latina...I assume you meant Latina rather than Latino, unless you are fishing on another side of the pond than what I thought?

| Kansas City and surrounding areas ~ Saturday, Sept. 6th 2008 ~ 8:00pm ~ FunkyTown Posted: 9/1/2008 8:09:28 AM | We currently have the perfect number of people signed up to attend this event . This one is coming up this weekend, and it should be another great time. Therefore, keep spreading the word and inviting everyone you chat with to join us. Hit up the new member list daily and send invites to the newbies that just sign up and have no idea... . Can't wait to see all my old friends and hope to see a lot of new people get out and join us. And remember people. This is not a formal have to sit with the group thing. These events are just a tool for people to us. A way for people to get out of the house and meet some new people in the same boat as they are. Make some new friends and have some fun. We have reserved seating so people can come and have a place to sit and mingle. So come out and grab a seat and make yourself known. This is not one of those events where we all sit in a circle and introduce ourselves like some AA group meeting . If you come and you want to meet people make yourself known. There are a lot of people that will help introduce new people around. We just need to know who you are. 5 days and counting... | |

| Kansas City and surrounding areas ~ Saturday, Sept. 6th 2008 ~ 8:00pm ~ FunkyTown Posted: 9/1/2008 9:54:51 AM | Hey
First of all, it would be great to see my friends, so I look forward to it! Second, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATEY!
And third, I just want to verify, with all this talk of meeting on the 5th, or on Friday nights instead, I want to make EXTRA sure that it is still on Saturday the 6th.. Correct?
Gummi, what's the headcount versus number of people allowed in FT? I know one night we all had to stand outside in a line for hours...

| Kansas City and surrounding areas ~ Saturday, Sept. 6th 2008 ~ 8:00pm ~ FunkyTown Posted: 9/1/2008 10:06:18 AM | It is most certainly still on the 6th!!
The friday before was just discussion over a few people going there IN ADDITION to coming out on Sat.
I'm not gummi (obviously) but as for headcount, it just depends on how many people actually come out. Though a lot of people get in the 'count' there's a heck of a lot of people that just come on out.
Funky Town's capacity is right around 600. Signed up, at the moment, is 68...so a bit better than 10%.
As far as having to wait outside...I would suggest you get there as early as possible. Since this is the first wknd of reopening, there's no doubt in my mind that there will be a waiting line. I could be wrong....it happens on occasion. Some people may not come out for just that reason. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
5 days to go!!!!! | |

I could go for Buffalo Wild Wings beforehand...
As for the car bar and keeping quite... feel free to talk about the carbar all you want at this venue. Only reason it's an issue at RG's is because one of our own works there...
FunkyTown holds 600 and there was a line only the one time and that can happen on certain weeks. I think that weekend we had almost 150 signed up to come out. We always suggest getting there between 8 and 9 and the closer to 8 the better, and I don't think it will be that busy reopening weekend. I don't think they advertise so a lot of people may not even know they are reopening this weekend...

| Kansas City and surrounding areas ~ Saturday, Sept. 6th 2008 ~ 8:00pm ~ FunkyTown Posted: 9/2/2008 6:59:49 AM | | You are correct, Tpot - it is less than 5 minutes to drive between there & Funkytown. I didn't realize they named that little strip "Raytown Square" - funny, cause it isn't really square-shaped...gotta love it. For those that are not familiar, instead of exiting 350 at 63rd street if coming from the North, you just stay on 350 and drive through town for a couple miles. Raytown Square is on the left side of the hwy (going East) directly across from the Quik Trip. | |

Hey, sign me up for the party, and can I bring a gal friend?
Bring as many people as you want. Doesn't matter if they are from the site or not. They don't even have to e single. This is a meet and greet to meet and make new friends. As long as they are up for making new friends and having some fun then bring them on out .
Oh and I have had a couple emails asking about the jeans thing. You can wear jeans just not the ones that have big holes in the knees and ass... you know the kind ladies .
