I don't mind tattoos or piercings so long as there tastefully done. If the woman in question has a dark theme, depicting evil imagery then that would concern me with her mental state. But if its a memorial tattoo or a life changing theme then those I like. | |

I didn't want mine in view for everyone to see and know that if I want to cover it I can.
I ain't really thought about when I am 60/70 hoping I live that long but least I can cover it.

I've had a tiny gold hoop in my eyebrow for about 5 years and a tiny diamond stud in my nose for about 10 years. I think they all look sexy! Hopefully the guys do too! | |

I do not have any tattoos just because I think I would go overboard if I ever started, some say you can tell how much life a person has lived by their tat's. I can think of three good reasons (2 kids, In memory of my dad) to colour on myself but still have not gone there. Who knows maybe one day I will afterall they have been drawn up for a few years already. In the meantime there are other ways to paint the body that are washable lol
As for piercings I don't have any other than my ears but may in the future get one done for the extra sensitivity part of it I have heard that it can also decrease sensitivity though if done incorrectly and not sure I am willing to risk that. | |

I don't personally sport any myself but have considered it and possibly would get one if there was something meaningful enough to me that I felt I wanted to wear it for life.
Both my adult sisters have a number of tatoos each, one's tatoos are amazing real peices of art she was asked to go in a tatoo show to model them. They are so common now that they are almost a non issue except for people who think that they denote class. I believe on a woman for them to be acceptable they still need to be discreet and somewhere that can be covered. It's all about personal choice . | |

Posted: 8/31/2008 7:23:23 PM | i think tattoo's and piercing fall into a category of preference .... they;re used to express someone individuality through body art ... but i personnally love some and hate others there are tattoos i look at that i think are breathtaking ... and others (dead babies, gruesome images ) that i find horriffic and to be honest when you look for a mate one thing runs though my head when i see thse gruesome or ridiculous tats ...
when i do marry do i want to have to explain why mommy has a tat of a dead baby stapled to her chest to my child ?

I have 4 piercings and got them for myself as I did the tats. I believe that tats are an expression of a person's individuality and a form of art. Sadly a negative stigma is attached to tats and piercings that if someone has them they're evil or ex cons, which is such crap. I figure if a guy is shallow so that he doesn't like my piercings or tats then he can keep moving on. | |

I also had my tounge, ears and nose pierced, I dont have the rings in have not for over 8 years now and I do feel that was a mistake, my tounge, bloody hell how do people keep them in, I did for months but took it out, I dont have holes anywhere so lucky there!! Well my noise hole you can see if you know it is there...

Before, I never liked belly rings or charms on women but now I do. I haven't been attracted to piercings anywhere else yet or tattoos but that's just me. I certainly would not judge anyone based on piercings or tattoos. After all, some cultures out there have used these for ages. I guess the overall conclusion of this thread is different things for different folks, which is great. | |

I have 2 piercings on my left ear and 2 tatties, one on each arm. Very shortly I'm getting a chest tattie, which will be a mural, of my former regiment the Governor General's Horse Guards. I also wanna see if I can tolerate the pain and get it done in one setting. It's going to smart when it hits the sternum and boney parts of my ribs, but hey a lil pain goes a long way ! It's the bodies way of letting you know you're alive.
