Immature & Shallow "little boys" place such high importance on hair colour & appearances. Later on, they often find themselves all alone wondering why they cannot find a decent woman.

Just because someone does not like your type, does not make them shallow or immature. Its not all about you- your Royal Majesty! People have 'types' that they are attracted to and 'types' that they are not. I'm not going to be every man's cup of tea, and neither or you. That does not make them shallow or immature, either.
But the packaging must be attractive to most people. If someone is not attracted to skinny women or heavy men or heavy women or skinny men.....its their preference-which we're all entitled to.
Just because you may not have to be attracted to a man you're dating, does not make the rest of us shallow.
There are certain hair colors (as obvious by this thread) that men find appealing-whether it be blondes, brunettes, red-heads, etc...That doesn't mean that if they met an attractive person with a different color hair, that they would not be interested in them.
I'm still waiting for them to find gray/white/silver attractive.......Sure would save me a lot of time!

Posted: 1/5/2009 12:16:37 PM | Happyrebel, I think majesty's point was that guys who base their choice of a woman ONLY on hair color and care about that more than if she's a good person or not, are the little boys who are very shallow and immature. I have a friend with a very strict list of what a woman he's looking for MUST like and look like (yes, she MUST be brunette and have big boobs, etc). He's almost 39 and, surprise, still single. I know that he's turned down many nice women, just because they were blond. I don't feel sorry for him at all.
WNECchick, maybe stupid men with bad taste. 
No need to bash blondes, unless you are really that insecure about being a brunette. | |

Posted: 1/8/2009 10:17:27 AM | I've actually read where the 'type' of person one is attracted to is actually developed during one's childhood years. This is usually someone who made a great impression on the person-be it a father/mother/cousin/family friend, etc . That person's coloring - yes hair - is what goes on to be the person's type. I guess if this doesn't happen for someone, perhaps they don't have a true 'type'. There is a reason some people are only attracted to certain kinds/types of people. This actually made sense to me.
When I was a young girl, I pictured myself being married to a blonde - maybe because Ken was blonde then - who knows.....I married a dark haired man and my ex bf (my only other relationship) was also dark haired. My Father...who was my best friend, was dark haired.....Makes me wonder.

Ever notice the guy on the news who's being called a hero for rescuing a small animal from a burning building or returning $500 he found on the side of the road. He always says something like, "Anybody would have done the same thing."

my friends say you could put a blonde wig on a mop, attach strings to it, jiggle it around and i'll want to take it out on a date.
that doesn't mean i don't like brunettes or redheads. but they come second and third in preference.

One of my guy friends told me that when a guy enters a room he dose a "blond check" to look and see if there are any blond girls. He said all men want a "hot blond" on their arm. Is this true of all guys? Do all guys realy want a "hot blond"?

Yes, of course they do. I have two blue-eyed blond beauties for sisters... the older one was homecoming queen and star of all the school musical productions, while the younger one was just about as pretty but also had brains (she's an MD). So I've seen the phenomenon up close. Plenty of guys of all varieties go totally nuts and make absolute fools of themselves over good-looking blondes.

Is it absolutely univeral and fail-proof? Of course not. Because of the kissing-your-sister thing (Ewww!), I'm totally immune and could be chaperone and masseur for the Swedish Bikini Team.

I bet if they had brown hair, they'd have gotten just as many men chasing them. I didn't look at your link posted, but it sounds pretty goofy. I've seen polls that ask men their hair color preference in women and, though brunette and blonde are pretty close in numbers, the brunette preferrers always outnumber the rest. It's usually like 26% prefer brunettes and 24% prefer blondes. I'd thought about doing a research paper or writing a book asking men why most of them prefer brunettes, but decided (as a blonde) that that would just depress me. | |

It's called self hate. on top of your lack of esteem. You can draw your own conclusions about any woman you like here, but sending denigrating emails to them is STILL not acceptable. Trying to justify your ignorant behavior patrick is reprehensible. Thinking you are providing a "service" of some kind by sending negative emails to women whose profiles you don't like really shows who you are as a person. .....and you've pretty much just admitted to it with your last post here. You know men who are abusers also justify their behavior by saying "she deserved it" and a serial killer will murder a prostitute thinking they are doing a service for society. How does a woman displaying her sense of humor, needs, wants etc, in her profile tell you that she hates men and deserves to get a negative email from you?

As for intelligence, the dumbest people I ever knew were brunettes. I admire book smarts, but relate better to people smarts. Some book smart people have no clue how to be discreet/principled or relate to others on a personal level. A mixture of both is best. | |

Perhaps the same goes for guys who only like blondes... but I think society in itself is partially to blame....we have gloryfied blondes for decades in movies, stories, ect...
