| Is it ok to use baby oil as a lube??? Posted: 8/7/2008 7:23:25 PM | I would stay away from petroleum and oil based products as they coat the skin and often times will cause a yeast infection in females...and nobody wants that right!
Fisrt choice is natural lube ie; spit... if that isnt an option then definitely a product made specifically for sexual activity. might cost a lcouple dollars but its hypoallergenic, sterile out of the bottle and waterbased. and safer than spit to be sure but ...if you are having sex chances are you have shared spit anyway ..lol
Happy slippin & slidin!

| Is it ok to use baby oil as a lube??? Posted: 8/7/2008 7:27:58 PM | My favorite for fun and games is cold pressed almond oil. It's silky smooth, great for the skin and wont harm the good bits. But in the case of the original poster, KY, Astro glide or the other well known water based lubes are the right choice. They have a nice assortment for all occasions, the warming one can be quite enjoyable for both. | |

Interferes with skin's ability to eliminate toxins, promoting acne and other disorders. Slows down skin function and cell development, resulting in premature aging. Used in many products (baby oil is 100% mineral oil!) Any mineral oil derivative can be contaminated with cancer causing PAH's Geez, my grandmother used it to moisturize her skin and man, I swear by it too. I would love to know the source of this information. I have been using baby oil since high school. When you have fair skin, you need major moisture for dry skin. Heck, I even thought about taking stock out because of the amount of bottles I have gone through.

Hmmmmm...........anything like baby oil may affect condom usage. I would advise caution. Are you really narrow, or just a little apprehensive of the event?
To answer your question yes im very narrow, been told by a gynecologist that i am and for that reason it is why i had both my sons c-section.
I know there has been a few jokes about this subject but for me this is a serious thing because when u cant enjoy sex due to pain it gets very frustrating to even want to be with a man sexually. I know the jokes are all in fun and i will take all of your opinions seriously and go with the KY Jelly. As for someone mentioning spit or getting me more wet well that doesnt work for me, trust me ive tried to stay wet and it still caused a problem just as he is ready to penetrate me. For some reason i dry up too quickly before he's able to put it in. So i will try the KY Jelly instead of the baby oil after hearing all the bad things that it could do to the insides of me.
Thank you all for your suggestions, i really sincerely appreciate all of your feedback.

Saw a porno where they used peanut butter.... crunchy or smooth? I don't really suggest, it made me think ouch & yuck - stick to bio-degradable or formulated especially for.
Omg my ex and I were using different things one night...honey, chocolate syrup etc and for some lame reason I smeared peanut butter on him...I swear it was so miserable...i licked and licked and that dang stuff wouldnt come off and my mouth dried out....NEVER USE PEANUT BUTTER!!!!!!

| Is it ok to use baby oil as a lube??? Posted: 8/8/2008 3:24:58 AM | Mr. Lordi ^^^^: Spit works for us folks in real life too. And that's actually what I was going to suggest to the OP...some lubes feel sticky to me and I HATE that...and other slips are a bit too greasy for my liking...so I skip it all together and just use spit. Never had an issue.

| Is it ok to use baby oil as a lube??? Posted: 8/8/2008 3:42:52 AM | if u use any kind of oil (fat fryer oil, canola, vegetable etc) it will give ur partner a bacerial infections eg thrush, cystitis, bladder infections or problems i would suggest that you make the effort to purchase a more appropriate lubricant as they are made specifically for sex and they are the only ones meant to be used in the area, pretty much anything else will cause disruptions to the sexual orans and the surrounding organs eg bladder
so get rid of any kind of oil, petroleum jelly or anything other than a water based or specifically made lubricant tried and tested on human sexual organs.
also if you are intending to keep free from stds and pregnancy using anything other than water based lubricant you will get your partner pregant and be exposed to unknown diseases.
hopefully the men on this site will actually read this an take note.

| Is it ok to use baby oil as a lube??? Posted: 8/8/2008 6:33:26 AM | | yall have ruined my plans to attend the annual Wesson oil party ..i have used baby oil during sex for many years ...as a whole body lub and have never had any problems with it ..however I dont use it actually on the sexual organs ..but when your in a puddle of it it does get in there too...but for personal lubrication ky or others work better ...for the full body lub i have found the red baby oil which has iodine in it and is used on sunburns ..also has the effect of warming the body ...and the iodine would serve as a deterrent to bacteria | |

brunettemiss01: "Natural saliva is natural and best." Congratulations. You've won the "Sanest Person Here" contest.
The problem with water-based lubes is that the water evaporates making the glycerine more and more gummy. Silicone lubes are latex-friendly, btw.
There's a ton of hype, pseudo-science and just plain nonsense floating around the Internet on this subject. Mineral oil rapidly deteriorates rubber condoms. Baby oil was found to slowly deteriorate same. The words "gradually" and "eventually" were used with respect to baby oil. And the ISO test involved blowing up a condom like a balloon (forcing internal pressure about a thousand times more than that you'd find "in the field" so to speak). If you had sex in the past and your condom burst because it touched baby oil then I'd be interested to hear that story. If you're just relaying some rumor you heard from the Internet then I'm sorry--I'm not interested in further spreading condom rumors that aren't grounded in fact.
This reminds me about all the stuff said about HIV leaking through a condom's membrane (inserted into conversations by people with an agenda of course).

Hey, it's not like there isn't an abundant source of uneducated, addict, welfare moms just shooting out random kids because none of them have ever heard of a condom or maybe the baby oil just" burst" the condom, either way, the supply well out weighs the demand. lol
(The woman described above may or may not only exist in my town)
Here is a concept though. Instead of field testing out these condom myths, why not experiment and see what happens? Draw your own conclusions through test. How hard is it to get a condom, put baby oil on it and see if it degrades? Man, think of the time and effort you would save worrying by testing it on the day.

First of all im harvesting any baby oil from babies cause i dont have any small babies in my home if that was directed at me personally.
As for the comment about welfare moms again im not on welfare so that comment wasnt necessary either. If your answers are only to be sarcastic then plz do not post in my thread. All i did was ask a question about baby oil and whether it should or can be used an a lube which i thank all the people who have given me good advice on the subject.

| Is it ok to use baby oil as a lube??? Posted: 8/8/2008 11:56:36 AM | My reply was not directed at you, nor anyone for that matter. I am sarcastic by nature and think that most people should have the common sense to think like I do. The welfare mom comment was directed at the people in my town, if anyone, which I doubt you are a part of.
The entire part about testing and seeing if it works before hand is really good advice. Sarcastic or not, it saves you time and trouble. Science is good.
While I can't speak for the guy who made a joke about harvesting baby oil from actual babies, I can assure you he more then likely was not addressing you either, but kidding with the posters here.
Don't take everything posted literally . Look at context,sub-context and read between the lines.
Because I think you will assume I am making fun of you or being sarcastic towards you, let me be the first to say that this is not an attempt to belittle you in any way, shape, or form.
