hey cuteaszabutton

Doll you are just going to have to put up with the comedians in here ...and Im sorry a thread is no longer yours... It becomes community property as soon as you turn it loose in the wild /forums ...but i assure you no one is putting you down we just like to attempt to be funny sometimes...
and look at it this way ..on the rare occasion on here where people do put someone down ...just let it slide off you do not know any of these people outside the internet ..and likely will never meet most of them.......so how can it be personal ...i have found almost all the forumies to be great people even the ones that i have found myself vehemently disagreeing with

Thanks for the link. I did find it really interesting. I am wondering though if because of the dry skin, the use is not harmful, it actually helps to retain my natural oils. I also use lanolin on occasion and did so with my children as babies. Makes ya go hmmmm for sure! I didn't see Elastin on there, but am guessing that it probably has impurities similar to the others. I don't think I can or will stop my regular use of either product...addiction to moisturizers, the horror...

I do think most people shower after they have played in baby oil, so I don't see much risk
in that behavior. Of course everyone has made it clear it is an outside thing, not an inside. I do remember reading about baby oil actually causing dryness with women too, maybe the chemical reaction with latex.

OP I know you have spoken to your doctor about being tight, but have you mentioned the dryness problem? Really, Oprah did a show on it and you can probably look it up on line. There are prescription items that can be used and depending on your prescription plan, might be less expensive than something over the counter. They can also do an episotomy to make things a little wider. This is helpful for exam time too.

Personally, I'd stay away from anything that began with the Petro-Chemical industry either on or in a human body...
I'd consider Olive oil etc, because of their 'natural' source. But even so, that being said, I'd still worry about it , ummm shall we say (as delicately as possible ), 'going mouldy' if it wasn't totally removed from the body...
I've also heard of some people saying it 'numbs' them a bit. Now that could be good or bad, or a coincidence... it could just be the reduced friction makes it feel numb...
I've used Olive oil... (Does Extra Virgin counteract a woman that's not a Virgin???? Not sure)... It seemed ok, but again, no condoms involved... Not sure if it affects latex or not....

And isn't Baby Oil used to keep Babies from squeeking....?????

honestly its best to just invest in some different lube and find wats best for you , when it comes to sex y be cheap, suck it up go to an adult store they have alot more variety then walmart thats for sure

for women i recommend this silicone based stuff called PINK just a lil bit of this stuff and it goes a long way plus it makes you amazingly soft

baby oil is best for massages not for intercourse

livelovebreathe: "if u use any kind of oil (fat fryer oil, canola, vegetable etc) it will give ur partner a bacerial infections eg thrush, cystitis, bladder infections or problems i would suggest that you make the effort to purchase a more appropriate lubricant as they are made specifically for sex and they are the only ones meant to be used in the area, pretty much anything else will cause disruptions to the sexual orans and the surrounding organs eg bladder

so get rid of any kind of oil, petroleum jelly or anything other than a water based or specifically made lubricant tried and tested on human sexual organs.

also if you are intending to keep free from stds and pregnancy using anything other than water based lubricant you will get your partner pregant and be exposed to unknown diseases.

hopefully the men on this site will actually read this an take note."

Look... there are saturated and unsaturated oils. Unsaturated oils have a missing strand of fat that can be occupied by "something else" so that the fat can then become "rancid". Rancid fat then can be a great food for bacteria, for example. Saturated fats unless heated don't usually become rancid. So if you make sweeping statements about oils being bad and don't somehow qualify that statement then it can be misleading.

K-Y Jelly Ingredients: Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Glucono Delta Lactone, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Methylparaben, Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide

I know there is some form of petroleum distillate in it because i have an allergic reaction to it. I get painful symptoms that were first thought to be bacterial vaginosis. I use a light almond oil for lubrication because i have nothing else that doesn't give me an allergic reaction. Ever since ihave been ree of UTI's and BV with no problems whatsoever.

Some people are allergic to parabens to include methylparaben.

From http://msds.chem.ox.ac.uk/HY/hydroxyethyl_cellulose.html regarding hydroxyethylcellulose:

Toxicology: Severe eye irritant. Harmful if swallowed or inhaled, and in contact with the skin. Laboratory experiments have shown mutagenic effects.

Are you sure you don't just want to go with saliva?

Coconut and palm oil are your best bets. I'm guessing the Romans used olive oil for more just bathing.

Popeye is really the only one who's had any success lubricating his willy using Olive Oyl in the manner you've suggested, though. ;)

Mr.Lordi thanks for clearing that up with me, i wasnt sure if your remarks were targeted at me.
deerdog1, i realize this is a forum and yes we will come across a few people who will try to be funny and i suppose i just take things on a more serious note than others but i do appreciate a lot of the suggestions that people have given me though.

For all of u wondering if i went the KY Jelly way, well i havent tried it yet since my partner is out of town until next week but i will definitely look into it. Thanks all!!!!!

OP -the problem could be hormonal as in you might be premenopausaul..

organic or 100% pure jojoba oil can be used as a lubricant and if vaginal dryness is an ongoing issue -get some tea tree oil (you only need like 1 drop of tea tree to 5 drops of jojoba) this not only lubricates but tea-tree is a natural anti-fungal and can help rebalance the ph level of your vagina without using chemicals...

So weird that u mention premenopausal stage because i thought the same thing because i know women tend to have dryness in that stage. Thanks thats one thing i had forgotten to mention in some of my posts that i could possibly be in my premenopausal stage.

I would avoid using it again. Baby oil is not water based like KY Jelly, and it will more than likely damage the condom.

Didn't check to see where you're from, OP, but go with the K-Y. You won't be sorry. Every time I walk into a doctor's office, they have some on the counter - for lubing thermomiters for babies, or for goodness only knows what else - it's hypo-allergenic, and you can get it in the store brand - less expensive.

The ones in the bottles - not the tube - you can have the most fun with. Especially the warming ones and the tingly ones. Great stuff - but be warned - taste like crap.

Enjoy!

NO LUBE JUST A LITTLE MORE 4-play

I AM A GUN-O-COLO-GIST doctor I would recommend more for play and make sure you cut the fan off during sex if will dry you worse then a dessert.

NO! Baby oil and other oil-based lubricants can break down the latex in condoms putting you at increased risk for all sorts of nastiness. Stick with the KY Liquid or other water/glycerine based lube. It's worth the extra couple of bucks....

So if you dive into your toybag and pull out your latex toys here is the deal

Latex toys are compatible with silicone and water based lubricants – but should not be used with oil lubes. Oil based lubes will cause your inflatable to weaken and pop and your solid toys to harden and crack.

Have fun but play safe

didn't read all the other replies, but, the lubes that "tingle" are made with cinnamon or mint extracts--hence the tingle. they can have an adverse effect and irritate rather than titillate...unless you like feeling that your labia is on fire!!!

my advise: invest in a handy economy-size pump jug of Astroglide.
stick with something made for sex, not for diaper rash.

It's not the best use for baby oil. Lube is probably a good idea if your man finds you "uncomfortable", but oil based lubes will destroy latex condoms. Baby oil also has added scent (it's basically just scented mineral oil) which can lead to vaginal infections and/or irritation. I admit I enjoy playing with oil - frequently - love the feeling as I slide oily bodies together! But it's not very good lubrication for intercourse. KY works really well, as do any number of commercial sex lubes (Pjur is my personal favorite...FEELS like oil, only even more slippery!).

I just realized this is the second time I've mentioned Pjur lube in posts today...no, I'm not affiliated with the company...just really like the stuff!

Yeah, the tingling lubes are definitely a love it or hate it thing. I think it's great, but the majority of women I've used it with found the stuff too intense or otherwise irritating. One liked it on the breasts but not the vulva.

The main disadvantage of KY (and Astroglide) is that it dries up and gets tacky over time. That may or may not be a problem depending on how you use it. Definitely be careful with the stuff in the bathroom (or anywhere else where it can dry up and then get wet again). I personally prefer silicone lubricants, specifically ID's "Millennium" brand moisturizing lube. It's ... amazing.

Thats what im afraid it might do even though ive never tried it. I dont have a problem getting wet at first during foreplay its when he's about to go in that i dry up too fast if he doesnt do it while im still wet. But even after that i dry up quickly so i need something that will stay moist for a bit longer. Ive never heard of ID Millenium lube, is that one or two brands ID and Millenium or one of the same ??

Reallllly you have even admitted to the menopause. See your physician. They have prescription items that are meant for dryness. You might need more estrogen or testosterone. There are prescriptions that are inserted that keep you moist so that you do have a great experience.

The silicone based sex lubes, like Pink, are much longer lasting than water based lubes like KY.

Arcturo, you can't be serious? If you are, the thought is crass and vile! Also, to the person that posted a warning about laxatives and anal sex and condoms, the OP was just about baby oil as a lubricant for sex. How did you get from that to laxatives?
