He wrote me recently ... had a pretty busy agenda ... he was still running his own business, so he had some traveling to do with that and then he mentioned he was going to meet a lovely lady he'd been wanting to hook up with for some time.

I am the lady that he was going to meet. Next week, we were to meet in Pennsylvania. I'm on Vacation and I visit my family who live there almost every year. He was to meet me on the 20 and 21st of Aug. and then fly out to Atlanta. Of course it wasn't meant to be.
That is what is so upsetting to me about all of this. So close, yet ....
I don't know why things happen the way they do. I guess God has a plan and we will understand why one day. | |

thank you so much in advance pandy darlin..
it really means alot to us to be able to send ron off with our best wishes...and to be able to just recall our favorite memories of him this way...
we are not just a dating site, so many of us conect and become family here and when we lose one of our own, it hurts and we need to come together to console eath other and heal just like families do in the real world...for this is real too...our pond...and ron swam deep in our hearts and touched our lives in many ways with his kindness and his words. | |

Ron: May you find happiness throughout eternity. Much love comes from your POF "Family". Last June, my good friend Janet passed away at age 49. She's a true gem, and was a PoF er. I hope you find each other in Heaven and start hosting some heavenly PoF parties up there!! God bless!

But really, you have met him soulwise....and far few people who have actually met Ron have accomplished that, I am sure. I believe that after he passed on, he was there with you and gave you comfort. I know that he would not just "take off" and leave you. He has a solid place in your heart. And yours in his. He is still here, just not in this plane.
Ron might not be here in forums as a poster but we are all here for support for each other, and we'll be here for you too. | |

I really needed to hear those words Marjie and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have felt his presence but I don't know if it's wishful thinking because I miss him so much or it's real.
Either way, I will never forget the impact he had on my life. He made me laugh right up to the end and beyond. Just go back to his last post he made in the thread called, "What makes a man decide whether a woman is too tall for him?" His response is hilarious! Just like Ron to think outside the...well you know what I mean. When it gets overwhelming, I go back to that thread and read what he wrote and I start to laugh all over again remembering just how crazy silly he was. | |

I knew him from his posts. They always made you ponder a bit and if he affected this many people, many of whom I have great respect for, then obviously he was a good man. As there is a dearth of those in the world, let alone on POF, then I wish to join in on wishing those nearest and dearest to him a great big hug and a wish of great things in your future. Posted: 8/14/2008 4:30:58 PM | I never knew the gentleman, but followed his post's as he gave me a chuckle at times and a pondering thought at other times...I'm so sorry for his family and friends on here, especially Babydoll. I'm so, so sorry honey...it just wasn't meant to be. God has a plan for all of us and we can never question it nor find an answer for the shock that follows when someone we care about leaves us so suddenly as Thud did.
When we get so close to each other online, we just need to remember how quickly all of us can be called up to God at any time whether we have a prior engagement or not with that person...so try to be kind at all times when you find yourself caring about that "person" that posted something that made a difference in your life..you never know when that person will no longer be there. I'm just sorry I wasn't his friend, but I'm so glad to see so many on here that were.

I didn't know Thudpucker personally, but I do remember his posts and always thought he was very insightful, while also having a wonderful sense of humour and warm and caring personality. Sometimes it seems God takes people with the most life in them. Is that what it is?
I hope he passes that life on to another great soul.

This is a time that will come for all of us one day, always sooner than it should, and always a shock when it does. I remember reading his posts too.
There's really little that one can say in such times that doesn't appear trite, on first glance.
We've lost a few people on these threads, some we knew, and some we never had a chance to. They were all part of this family of ours, and we were are lessened by their absence.
Bereavement in their death to feel
Whom We have never seen --

my regret is for the reason i started it in the first place...but my heart is full at the solace and comfort to be found here among the family that thrives here in the pond..for we are a family and there is strength in the way we come together in this time ...
one thing i have come to realize is that the depth of feeling in this pond is just as real and just as dependable in times like this as it is in the so called real world..so in return i say thank you to all of Ron's friends for your kind words and condolences..
so thank you my friends....for once again..i put out the call..and ...you DIDN'T let me down, but YOU ALL responded and came by to say your respects to this wonderful man and wish him well on this, his next journey,...every one of you that i contacted has dropped by this thread ...and many more besides..
and for that it is i who thanks YOU!
