Good for you Dustin.
I was just out in the garage lamenting the cold temps. My bikes are waiting patiently for warmer days. If we get a pile of snow I've got studded tires of the dirt bike, if it warms up I'll take the street bike.
I've got a bike stored in Arizona too. I'll be flying down to go riding in less than 4 weeks!!! I can't wait.

That's the main reason why i left Red Deer. I was tired of going in circles all the time.
Damn fish bowl...

No set date for this spring yet. This was an old thread revival from last fall.

Usually occurs in the spring with VD Bikerboy (btw buddy i have been waitin' to use that one) doing the planning. Time and place to be determined once the white stuff is gone.

< is going to sit on the bike and make some vroom vroom noises. maybe even start scuffing for paint. Damn groundhogs day. Got the itch.

I'm off work today and it's supposed to be over 6 degrees. I'm heading to the gym, when I get home I'm going to see about overcoming the ice lake to get the bike to dry pavement....

I'm aiming for a May 9/09 date for the 3rd Annual AB POF Bikers Meet in Red Deer. I will set the event for sign-up by end of March or early April.

The bike has a layer of dust from sitting in my garage since the 2nd week in November/08...

??? What does one have to do with the other? If you've got the bike, you don't need the man!

Not to shock the crap out of those of you kind enough to try to help me in my quest but I think I just might accompany you on this journey!

Yes the "Intervention" worked and I sadly report that I didn't manage to find a suitable Burgman but I am on the verge of buying myself a 200 V-Star Classic (650)and yes, it includes TRAINING WHEELS! (see Tow Pac for info) .........

Ok, now I'm really getting impatient. I went into Calgary yesterday and bought a new bike. I'm hoping to pick it up the second week of April . . .

Aw, come on Tessav, you know full well, that riding one is sometimes better than the other, it's just a known fact that the bike is more reliable for a long ride!!

Hope I have my bike by the time this event hits the tarmac!!

Single + No Bike + no experience as a passenger on long trips = Sadly waving to all the cool kids as they ride past.

Does Cranbrook to Lethbridge count as a "long trip"?

interest here, starting to pace like a caged lioness. Its -15 and my mind, heart and spirit, is on the road. Selling the house and anything else I can, heading out to parts unknown hopefully by June. Taking 2 yr to tour and decide where to live next. Its all good, yehaaaaaaa

Anyone else wondering why we live in the Godforsaken, frozen wasteland?

Seriously thinking I should look into living somewhere without snow. Not right away, but wouldn't that be grand?

attitude here may be slightly colored by the fact that I've been without heat for a day :( and furnaces never break down on a warmish winter day - always the coldest ones!
