Posted: 8/22/2008 6:42:18 AM | I wasn't trying to be rude but after reading through this thread I was amazed how many people wanted to choose locations, date for an event they aren't planning.
Planning an event is a fair amount of work and the most important person to plan around is the host. The host pretty much gets to pick the day, time and location that suits THEIR schedule otherwise who's going to do all the work?
And my comment about the Past POFer.. your comment came across as slightly rude as well. Maybe some of those Edmonton POF'ers who don' t know the Past Pofer might come. Seemed a bit snappish to me hence my snappish reply. Was your comment directed at Papabear in hopes he would choose a different date? And I've been on this site for well, ever so I'm sure not everyone knows what your talking about!

I am wondering...do I have to know how to 2/4/8/16 step? Because honestly...I'm a City Girl and the only 2 step I know is the one where I avoid the Canadian Geese droppings along the SeaWall ;)
The 13th is a great date for me and I am looking forward to meeting any and all of you guys that come -even from Edmonton ! (That's a long way to come for a party...these wreckers must be awesome!) I may even try to convince a buddy from Grande Prairie to c'mon down. | |

But it will take more than 1 drunken night to learn the finer steps that make it so you look elegant stepping over the cow paddy's, which are nearly 100 times as big as the goose poop you are accustom to!!
If you are interested, Alluria, email me, I know a good place to learn the finer art of 2 stepping (and other dances done out here[could even be construed as physical exercise and gym workout!!] ), the instructors are world class, and usually get top rankings as instructors at the competitions they go to. Classes start in the middle of Sept and run to just before Christmas. | |
