Posted: 8/24/2008 3:44:47 PM | Oh man! The next day is the Fort Sask Toy Run. It's my favorite. After several minutes of careful consideration, I've come to the conclusion that there are at least 2 more Toy Runs to attend this fall, and they come around every year. The wrecker seems to be a big event, and I'm almost never available to attend events in Edmonton, never mind Calgary!
Assuming life doesn't throw me a curve ball (THAT never happens, right?), I'm in.

I have to admit they do treat us damn good in there and have always come through with their reservings, so this time I will go with the tried and true...but I will be on the hunt for another venue for the NEXT one

As for price, well that depends on what you consider pricey. However, I can tell you this. They are a lot cheaper than getting a DUI and all the "lovely" consequences that come with it.  | |

Would telling you it's name is The Crossroads help? It's in a hotel and judging by the other posts, it's likely the Radisson.
BTW...isn't there another - cheap - motel right next door? | |

Posted: 8/25/2008 7:57:21 PM | Sept 13th - perfect date for me - in between vacation and golf tourney's. Papa is right when he says that they treat you right at the Roads. I do have to agree that the dance floor is small - but come 11:00 all dance floors get small! I have been to bigger places with bigger dance floors that allow drinks out on the dance floor and that is just no good, not even to mention that you don't have to walk a mile to get to the dance floor only to get there and that perfect song is just finished! Then there is the bar staff! They all seem to keep a good eye on what is going on and have no problem stepping in. For a group of this size - I do not really think you would get treated as good as we do at the Roads. I was there Saturday night and did not think to ask what band would be playing on the 13th... oh well as long as there is music, there shall be dancing and a whole lot of fun!!
