Common law rules differ so much from country to country. In Canada you can't even have anyone on your medical/dental insurance unless you have co habitated for two plus years. It varies from country to country. I still say, move on honey. The near perfect woman is out there somewhere for you. Let it go and move ahead. Try not to dwell on it. It just starts to hurt less as time goes on. Been there and done that.

you seem like a settled down type of guy. you can probably get your money back, but it'll go towards your court/lawyer fee.

i understand that there's the principle behind it, but just let her have it. it's the last thing she can ever pull from you. i don't think it's worth all that hassle.
