| Dead Time Posted: 8/31/2008 8:58:59 PM | Tiffrox some spirits stay and some spirits go when they feel it is time. Many of the spirits I have experienced are attached to the house, people who live there, or some object in the house. It is like a spiritual "imprint" or "footprint" like they say today. My main purpose is to help a spirit to cross over. They sometime don't actually know they are dead, or they are connected to someone/thing they don't want to leave. There are spirits who are quiet and can keep a peaceful existance with anyone who inhabit a house. I think it is important for spirit to cross over.
Lisaw Being a sensitive is like being a beacon of light to spirit. They can sense your ability to see, feel, or in some cases smell their existance. Most times they do have a message they want passed on, or they do want closure with something that has left them here on earth or in someones life. You can speak to them and ask them to pass into the light, by simply speaking the words. Sometimes, it will take more than that. Prayer, smudging, or even blessing the house can help them. I have an Aunt who still takes a broom and "sweeps" them out of a house! With every individual, each has their own technique that works for them. In some cases, it takes all of the above and sometimes more! If you have ever seen the movie "Ghost"....Whoopie Goldburg played a sensitive and you can see in that movie that many spirits wanted her attention! lol
Diva I think you asked a perfectly valid question, and I think it is interesting to see everyone's responses. As I said, it's all in the eye of the beholder. God granted us all free will to do, think, and speak as we wish.

| Dead Time Posted: 9/2/2008 8:22:05 PM | Hi....I think they are just referring to lights out because often they say it's 10PM etc. However dead time is also considered to be the entire nightime experience when earth's subtle energies aren't affected by solar rays. Fine frequencies can be lost in this blaze of energy. At night, when the electromagnetic environment is calm, it is easier for us to find and follow spectral manifestations. Also less interference from the hustle and bustle of the wakeful world with their cell phones and other interferences. | |

| Dead Time Posted: 9/2/2008 10:15:20 PM | Your body goes through ebbs and flows of energy (I think another poster mentioned this) - usually around 3-4 AM, your body temperature rises slightly (or if you are menopausal, INTENSELY) and you are more easily awoken by sounds, full bladders, etc., etc.
And yet, 3 AM does have a magical quality to it - so silent and calm, but yet if you sit and are still, you can start to hear the birds peep and see the changes in the sky as the world turns towards the sun.
My daughter and I got up at 3 AM one night in August to watch the persides (sp?) meteor showers - it was hard to get out of bed but once we were outside exploring, we perked right up. The challenging part was finding a truly dark spot to watch the sky. It is amazing how much we cling to our lights. There is an environmental learning center close to where I live and they take the kids out in the middle of the night, get them used to ambient night lighting (it takes about 30 minutes), and then they go on a nature walk in the middle of the night without any lighting devices other than the stars and the moon. It is a wonderful experience.

| Dead Time Posted: 9/5/2008 2:50:42 AM | | I strongly believe in the witching hour. It is a wonderful time to work with because of everyone sleeping and less active mental energy around. It makes it convenient for spirits to talk and manifest. I have had great luck with seances and magick at this hour and continue to enjoy wonderful experiences always at the witching hour. | |
