A nice presentation(pretty tableware, fresh garnish on the plate)goes a long way in the enjoyment of a meal.As the Japanese say "First you eat with your eyes".

Ha Ha... of course we would. I only argue in a political arena.
I especially get along with people that like to eat and do the dishes.
Ive never found a peach salsa that I liked. If you think about it how's about sharin' that recipe.....

Posted: 9/27/2008 9:44:40 PM | My fave of all time for cakes is a tbsp of mayonaise.. makes the moistest cakes for chicken marinades: orange juice for meat: papaya ...you can take the cheapest cut of meat, lay some papaya (i use the skin with a little of the papaya meat on it, with the papaya meat face down on the meat )and it will tenderize the heck out of it and the taste doesnt affect the meat.. dont cook the papaya..use it with /as a marinade ..
but worchestshire sauce is something i cannot do without

| What's your favorite secret ingredient? Posted: 9/27/2008 10:56:18 PM | A friend of mine told me about Greek Seasoning and I like that on all kinds of food. I also add vanilla flavoring and cinnamon to pancake mix.
Feta cheese on pizza and salads adds that extra kick.

Posted: 10/6/2008 4:14:34 AM | | I'd deffinatly have to go with veal stock when made properly and reduced, it naturally thickins from the bone marrow great for making soups and sauces. Main use prolly being demi-glaze which is 3 parts veal stock 1 part red wine then reduced by about 3/4, which is probably the best thing you could ever have with steak =)

| What's your favorite secret ingredient? Posted: 12/11/2008 11:53:22 AM | Bergamot is my new favorite flavor.
It is a flavor, a scent, an healing herb/essential oil, and has a mysterious historical past.
Right now I am drinking green tea with Bergamot and Agave nectar. This is the flavoring that makes Earl Grey tea taste so unique. Bergamot is in 30% of all men's and 50% of all women's perfumes. It is an essential oil of a sour citrus fruit grown in a section of Italy.
Its also used in witchcraft. Bergamot was used by Italian calabrian wiccas. There is a pagan cult that worship the god given name of the Bergamot. On their talismans is a bergamot orange.
I am using Bergamot oil in baking, salad dressings, lemonaide, tea, yogurt, in my home-made window cleaning formula, in my home made hand lotion and soap. I think it is a good scent in beeswax candles, also. I am trying to find Bergamot marmalade.
The oil used to be used on the skin as part of tanning accelerators, but is not anymore because of the cancer risk.
