Semi off topic: That said this whole post reminded me of a date a few years ago, we went to see the Body Worlds II exhibit which was showing at the Ontario Science Center that year. For those of you not familiar with the show, its dead bodies, soaked in special plastics that are arranged in different poses. They have been surgically prepared to show various muscles etc, totally fascinating but the one thing that struck me the most was just how goody looking male genitalia is when there is no scrotum. The nuts, just hanging in space next to the flaccid winkie made all the men look like the had small sad elephants below the waist.  | |

This is my answer...
All genitals are homely. They can't help it. That is why we cover them up. People think it is because we are modest, but really, why do you think they call it "bumping uglies"?
They are efficient at what they do, and that's good enough for government work. As long as they are clean, smell attractive, the skin is intact and (on a personal level) they haven't been overly modified with tattoos or piercings, well, that's fine. I'm sure some people have prefs (ie, circumcised v. uncircumcised, size, shape, hair/no hair, whatever) but I'm more of a function over structure person.
