if you used 730 rubbers in a year, and made them into a tire.... you'd have to call it a Good-Year....
I concur, it would be a very Good Year!
Hmmm, under what name might one market that line of tires?
All Season, All Weather... or perhaps Sport Futilty?

Ok I looked at the date on condoms today because of this thread..... The ones I looked at expired in april of 2010...... Why would this be even a concern to anyone? If you can't use condoms you buy with that kind of time frame, Maybe it's best you just strangled yourself with a celibate rope, Because you are already celibate and just going through the motions. O.K. So you got a stash of twenty or so in you're bedroom drawer, half a dozen in you're wallet, the vacation cabin, the cabin of you're boat, under the car seat,in you're locker at work,in you're gym locker, because you know if you're gonna experiment he had better at least be buff .under that rock in the back yard,You never know where you'll be grabbing it from, and how old that one is.

| Using condoms that have expired Posted: 8/24/2008 2:32:03 AM | rings, 730???? that'll be a pretty slick tire you'd have for that bike but you were bragging, right? cuz on your tax return you only filed for 183 for medical expenses | |

| Using condoms that have expired Posted: 12/29/2008 7:04:29 PM | What is this "condom" we are talking about? OH I know, it's a wet coast thing. It's Condominium abreviated... Hence the "Leaky Condom"
I get it now.
I hear plastic is what they use to take care of the issue. just wrap the whole structure in heavy pastic while you work on things....

| Using condoms that have expired Posted: 12/29/2008 7:25:19 PM | ^^^^ pigwig
The leaky condoms scandal identified the blame was clearly on poor design and poor construction. Some just aren't blessed! 'nuff said

| Using condoms that have expired Posted: 12/29/2008 7:49:12 PM | Exactly If you cant use them in that time frame you should re-evaluate your life.
However *under the circumstances* If it so happened that i would Have to use an expired condom i would take the risk. I mean i would firstly , but not bluntly , find out about her "situation" beforehand. I dont need no heebie-jeebies.

By the way they do make a reusable condom... story has it you turn it inside out and shake the f**k out of it. Kinda reminds me of two day underwear...... personally I can't see it catching on.
Hey don't blame me, I just read the news!!!!!!!

Haha, thanks for the chuckle - though I was a bit too young when my parents divorced, I can still picture it.
Just checked my stash, and it's all good til 2010. Funny, I have no recollection of when I bought them. They must have a REALLY long shelf life.
Happy New Year all you POFers!

| Using condoms that have expired Posted: 1/3/2009 12:35:24 AM | | They make pretty good water balloons... It's like a double damage thing, because not only do they get splattered with water, they may also get splattered with the excess lubricant... And fun surprises. | |

| Using condoms that have expired Posted: 1/4/2009 10:39:00 AM | Without looking up "condom expiry date" on Google I can say that my experience with working on military aircraft that there is a "cure date" for rubber seals. This is to ensure the seal is used before it dries out and becomes brittle or cracks just like old tires do. Not to mention the fact that the spermicides and lubricants also have a "best before date. That being said most if not all products are tested and there are "fudge factors" engineered into when to use the product. It all depends of the conditions the product is exposed to during this storage...bedside table...wallet...purse...glove box, avoid the fridge....we all know about cold induced shrinkage.
I have never used expired condoms mostly due to the fact that the date is also stamped next to the serial number at the edge of the rolled end

In the modern age, condoms are most often made from latex, but some are made from other materials such as polyurethane, or lamb intestine.

due to the fact that the date is also stamped next to the serial number at the edge of the rolled end Oh my, the things I never knew don't I hate multiple tasking... especially when it has anticlimactic side effects
not only does one have to concentrate on getting all the pre-stimulative functions right: flowers, chocolates, soft music conversations, choice of words, body language, setting the mood, right drinks, lighting candles, making sure no OD on drinks for either, all good spirited coercive moves to get both to the right place, applying a whole new set of further moves while keeping primeval urges in check.... dashing out to find the darn condom package... oh relief...here they are... now where are the glasses... "Uhhh, Babe where are you???" "yes Honey I'm coming, be right there..." (*thinks*u have no idea how close). ... gosh, there they are...yup date??? darn its not legible ???what the **** where are those magnifiers??? .... " K, honey just a moment, be right there".... opening package to check the date stamped next to the serial number at the edge of the rolled end... good gawd...what's the date today??? oh shoot... now the darn thingy is all unraveled, *reading* Date 02-13 xxxx "yes honey I'm coming"... rushing back to honey "what's the date today?" "WHAT???, its Valentines!!!!" oh shoooo!!! ... the heart stops... looks down to see two expired shriveled lil things
stress levels rising^ = erectile function falling v +=

| Using condoms that have expired Posted: 1/6/2009 2:04:28 PM | "Would you - as a couple - in the heat of passion and very much wanting to be intimate NOW, and not having ready access to fresh condoms, make a decision to proceed and take a chance with expired condoms, hoping the condom will still prevent conception or transmission of STDs?"
NOPE, wouldn't even htink of taking a chance on un-used, condoms that have reached their expiary date.
Just going to have to put off the intimacy, even in the HEAT of the moment, until fresh new condoms can be bought.
Better to be safe, then sorry, no sense in taking ANY CHANCES, with STD's or her, possibly getting accidently pregnant.
Only FOOLS, take the chance, and hope that they can get away with it.
Thats WHY, they have an EXPIRARY DATE on these items.
