Posted: 1/13/2009 9:16:32 PM | My first kiss was so wonderfull, I was 14, he was 16, he kissed me while dropping me off at my Parents cabin, in the Summer under the stars .....It was just how I imagined it... the sky opened, and the earth shook.
I returned home late that night, and my parents gave me a one month grounding, and it was worth every minute!! I've allways wondered where his life has led him! I wish him the best! | |

My parents' friends ran a childrens home, and my dad ran a place where school groups could go so there was room for all the childrens home kids over Christmas. Anyway... I was told Ivan liked me and wanted to kiss me... I was OK with that so we did the peck on the lips thing ... as a kind of show for the other kids.... then we were dared to kiss longer, so we did! I recall the audience counting the kiss- we hit 11 or 12 before parting. We repeated the exercise over the week's holidays but then it fizzled out because LDR's dont work at that age.... | |

Okay, I got kissed on the cheek a couple of times when I was about five or so, but I don't count those since I wasn't doing the kissing and the ones I got weren't on the lips. The first kiss happened the summer I was 13, just getting ready to start high school. And I had a huge crush on a friend's sister.....her name was Jackie.
Jackie knew I liked her. Hell, I think the whole neighbourhood knew.....our little circle of friends all knew, that is - subtlety has never been a particular strong point of mine! Anyway, we used to swim in a river that ran behind our neighbourhood. And one day while we were all there at the river, it was decided we would play kissing tag. I think I was both super excited and deathly terrified at the same time, because I knew that today was the day that I would get my first kiss, and it would be with Jackie.
The rule was "no kissbacks," meaning you couldn't kiss the person that had kissed you. Sure enough, not too long into the game, Jackie got kissed and I, the not-subtle little horndog that I was - was? lol - made sure I was the closest guy to her when she became "it." Well, she turned to me and started to wade toward me, and I stood there and waited for her. You were supposed to make a token attempt to get away, and one of the other girls made a comment about that, but there was no way I was gonna take the chance that she'd go for another guy instead. Nooooo way.
So she got to me, put her arms around me and kissed me. I was ready for it, and I kissed back. It wasn't like Bobby Brady seeing fireworks after Melissa Sue Anderson got him, but it was nice.....so nice that I'm sitting here with a warm smile as I recall it, all these years later. But back then I didn't have time to dwell on it. Nope. Jackie kissing me made me "it." Which meant that kiss number 2 - with a completely different girl - was mere seconds away!!! 
Ah, that was a very nice summer..........1983.
