Posted: 6/13/2005 11:42:02 AM | Actually this thread is not making any sence at all anymore!!! I mean she is asking for men to see her for what she is on the inside. Well ok let generalize this so as not to offend her. I believe that you cannot expect someone to see your brain instead of your body until you can say the same.
This is not a bash on her at all... I have sent her a message and she did reply. But then again she did lie in her reply!!! | |

Age has nothin really to do with this topic. This whole thing of "I want to be respected for my brain" thing spans all ages. What still gets me is that they still dress sexy and post pictures of their body. I mean you CAN dress sexy without SHOWING ANY of your body. Its all a matter of style and a little bit of class. | |

Posted: 6/13/2005 12:21:50 PM | | here is my two cents..i actually messaged teh young lady compalining about not being taken seriously...i was polite and told her she looked great and had an interesting profile (not in thos eexact lame words, but nothing offensive or focused on her as a sex object)...she blocked me in return...maybe if you actually took the tiem to, I don't know talk to people you might find that normal ones do exist..but you can't flaunt the goods and get pissed off when people notice,...that is so sad, but then again our society is so sexually repressed its crazy! | |

Although it is true that those of us who post sexy pics are opening ourselves up to a barrage of sexual and insulting email, it is also true that the people worth knowing will look beyond your pics.
Don't let anyone who has insulted you discourage you, and if anyone sends you degrading email, they should be reported to the mods.
IMO, the best way to get to know people and have them see beyond your pics is to post in the forums so that people can see your intellectual comments and realize that there is something more to you than just a sexy picture.
Unfortunately, you've been attacked for asking a question that seems to have touched a nerve for many people. It is likely that some of the people who attacked you are merely upset at the fact that you, and others with sexy pics, do not wish to speak to them. The fact that so many have attempted to speak to you after insulting you, or have insulted you after trying to speak to you proves that. I don't blame you one bit for blocking anyone who has said that they were blocked, or for not talking to anyone you chose not to talk to. You'll find that a lot of people act very immature when they don't get their way. You don't owe a reply to anyone.
Don't be discouraged. Put your pic back up if you want to, and just be yourself, regardless of the fact that you may intimidate some people.
Not everyone on this site is as narrow minded as the ones who have attacked you.

He would then think he's found the total package. Rather than the guys who are too blinded by your beauty to see past it. | |

Unfortunately you will find that on most topics - I've seen guys asking why they aren't getting any replies, and getting the p* taken out of them buy a number of the women. While it can hurt, you need to take it a bit less to heart, but look for the nuggets in there, which there are.
I'm sorry you've felt you had to take down your pics. I think that at the very least you should have left the last one - the one of your face. I find that the best way to see someone as who they are, not for their body, but through their eyes. If you look at Mommy of 2's profile (I hope you don't mind me using you as an example), I prefer the picture at the end of her smiling, not quite direct at the camera. I prefer this to her current image which, while catching my attention, doesn't convey what I see in that last picture of who she is... | |
