| Humanitys shackles Posted: 8/31/2008 7:57:00 AM | "To be sure, if an attempt is made to base this fight upon an abstract demand for equality for all in the name of justice, there is a very obvious objection to be made, namely, that nature began the injustice by the highly unequal way in which she endows individuals physically and mentally, for which there is no help." ~Sigmund Freud_"Civilization and It's Discontents". | |

| Humanitys shackles Posted: 8/31/2008 8:54:04 AM | Difficult to discard those shackles when our wellbeing is governed by want and need. That want and need dependant on being wage slaves. Spirituality and even self-knowledge take a back seat to outside perogatives. Media gives us prechewed ideas and opinions that saves us the time of actually thinking for ourselves. When was the last time you heard an original idea? Saw a movie that had much more than a crumb of originality? Substance is not there just a flashiness to attract the attention like a shiny bauble. It keeps us grasping and wanting but gives us nothing really. I am not even going to get into religion and superstition. That is a small treatise in it's self.
That in a nutshell is why we will never really break free. And every generation seems to go just a bit farther down that road. I am just not sure where that road leads ultimately.

| Humanitys shackles Posted: 9/23/2008 10:05:49 AM | Yup,
...and then we'll have come full circle. Our language will be grunts and growls, our knuckles will drag the ground, we'll eat sh** and breed other knuckle draggers.
We'll kill each other for sport and our women will be our slaves and breed sows.
Our feet will revert back to snow skis because we won't have vehicles to drive and our forheads will protude to keep the sun and rain out of our beady eyes....
