As of Saturday night........I'm supposed to be taking Paige from Nerang meeting point & haven't heard to the contrary so will wing it in the morning.......If she's there, she's there......if not I'll either take someone else ......or ride solo.

Home again, had an awesome day as usual, thank you to everyone for the day out, some of us got absolutely drenched with heavy rain and hailstones coming into Rathdowney, however, could see it was the storm front so kept going to Beaudesert and outran it, was even mostly dry again by the time we got there, stopped for a quick half a cuppa at the Driver - Reviver and we took off again as the storm had caught up and was about to hit again.
I think that was the quickest trip I ever did over Mt Tamborine.................. but got home dry .......................  | |

Posted: 9/21/2008 1:14:30 AM | Home safe n sound, no casualties, no tickets (Well Phil got one but that doesn't count, cos he's from NSW!).
As usual a top day out was had by all. Some have difficul;ty with the whole "stay in a group" concept...it is a lot to remember..
follow bike in front, keep track of bike behind!
Didn't matter, the sub group fell out on the first leg, and met up with us again in Allora.
There were at least 8 empty pillion seats! Which goes to show, if you turn up there is a v good chance you'll get a seat.
Coming home we hit about 2k of the corner of this storm...very dark n horrible, strong winds were a worry, and hail is always good for a laugh on a bike! We kept moving and soon outran it.
Pete n Ingrid, (If Ingrid is recovered enough from her "Superbike Experience" behind Fast Eddie!) thanks once again a great day, Great route, excellent pace, good time management, and enough "regroups" to make it social and do-able for any level of ability.
Already signed up fer next one..looking forward to seeing Norell's photos, and We'll see ya at the next one

Home finally , what a ride.
I had my pillion on for a bit of the way then she was stolen from me , do you hear any complaints , no , I could have fun , and I did , lol , I just got hit for typing that. The down side is that she had a better time on Adrians and especially Fast Eddie's Bike.
The road up the valley was rough and fun thru the twisties and would have been a lot slower with a pillion on , that may have been a good thing as I scared myself twice , but you get that.
Lunch was ok , I will ring ahead on the next one , actually I already know that they will put on a BBQ where we are going , you all will have to wait and see.
After lunch a quick blast down Cunningham's Gap and a meet at Aratula , we split up and some headed home. The rest of us headed for the hills around Boonah , Moogerah Dam and Mt Alford. It was a fun ride but some of the roads are narrow and rough.
Just before we got to Rathdowney the heavens opened and not just rain , hail and strong wind was pelted at us. We sheltered under the awning of the shell servo as the storm passed and left as the sun came shining from the south. They say 45mm in half an hour on the news and I would believe it. We have just got home to no power , black skys and lots of water laying around. Hot coffee and a shower was in order , thank goodness for gas , lol.
One last thing , while we were at Rathdowney at the shell servo , Andy the local seargent dropped by and advised us of road conditions to Beaudesert and east. He mentioned to keep it slow and that he had already got one bike on his way back to town. So how much was it Phil ???????????
