Cynicism. Destructive cynicism. Dare to DREAM! AND to use your REASON!
Not destructive. It is a very dangerous world with a Qutbist movement intent on toppling frail governments to garner the money to finance further topplings. McCain has shown his cards in confronting this threat by voting to invade Iraq to pressure Saudi Arabia to confront their Qutbist infestation. Obama considered Iraq to be simply a Neo Con expansion. Now he wishes to invade Pakistan which would quite possibly result in the overthrow of democracy there and result in the empowering of a Qutbist takover of a country with a fifth of a billion people with nuclear weapons who are aimed at a country with a billion people with nuclear weapons themselves and attacked weekly by those Qutbist backed terrorists.
Is Biden enough to set him straight? I don't know. Just know that he was wrong before but, like you, I admire the life, enthusiasm and promise of change. The US needs change be it a change of face or approach. One thing is for sure, there is not one country on earth not participating positively with the US in the War on Terror. It is being won bit by bit. What effect will Obama have on this delicate struggle? | |

we'd like to see him offer John McCain some sort of position... though we weren't sure what it should be..
I'd say Bureau of Land Management but he can't even remember how many houses he owns, so I guess if he can answer that question, he should have a shot at it.

Which is exactly what it was. Considering everything we were told about the reasons to invade Iraq were all lies. None of it was true. And McCain's support for that makes him a good candidate for you?

Obamas only strength is his ability to read what he was told to say and he does it very well.
Take him off a written speech , let him say what he really thinks around those he is most comfortable with and you find out pretty quick any common American is not who is matches up with.
So last nights speech , and all speeches he reads from script , I give him a 10 he is great at it.
But for realness in his personal answers I rate him a 3 maybe a 4 , he seams to NEVER answer , although when it comes to preaching , telling us what is wrong with America , promising what he will do he 100% of the time uses speech writers who nail it ......
If people really took time to read about him , look at his consorts and collect the many Anti , American statements he has made , his associations have made , he would be the one sitting in the audience and Hillary would have beaten him.
Personally , once he ultra left wing , socialist side of the party began forcing candidates upon us , from 2000 , 2004 , and now in 2008 ... I have lost all faith in the party..No way I want the government intruding into my home with promisses of free health care , free collage , and or any other free crap , If I want something ill pay my way . I will earn my way , and I will build my own sense of pride and self esteem.
Any one who does not value the building of self , paying own way and making it on there own has LOST site in what it means to be American , And that is about as sad as it gets . . | |

But for realness in his personal answers I rate him a 3 maybe a 4 , he seams to NEVER answer ,
If you read or actually listen to his answers, he answers them fine, in fact the problem is for a lot of Americans is that he answers them COMPLETELY, with thought, and nuance, and why exactly he made the decision. I know it's not as easy as a three word answer that bears little relationship to how complicated the issue is, but the reality is that in the political arena, if something is unresolved, it's unresolved for a reason, that reason is that it's complicated.
If people really took time to read about him , look at his consorts and collect the many Anti , American statements he has made , his associations have made , he would be the one sitting in the audience and Hillary would have beaten him.
The supposed relationships were highlighted on network television over and over again. Many of them were rediculously distorted, in fact if you believe what the attackers have to say apparently Obama has picked up political thought patterns from every person he has passed in the street since conception.
I challenge you to find a political candidate who does not have associations of some time to somebody who is embarassing. McCains infidelity and the Keaton 5? Bush's brother involved in the savings and loan? ect.

Ultra left wing? National healthcare has been on the table for over a decade, midway through the clinton administration. Frankly if you think the people they've ran from 2000-2008 are ultra left wing, you obviously belong in the Republican party, after all these people were not significantly to the left of Clinton.

Although you haven't really stated any cabinet positions and more a list of assignments for people to oversee....Bill Richardson has already been a UN Ambassador by the way, and with his breaking ties with the Clinton's to support Obama I'm sure there's a much higher position awaiting him if/when Obama takes office.
Bill Clinton makes something ludacris like 500k or 1 million a speech going around the country speaking to conventions and the like so I seriously doubt he'll want anything to do with public service again. Besides its going to take a few of those speeches to clear Hillary's debt ;). Ditto for Al Gore. | |

Ah, shucks. Iraq was not an economically frail government. Their threat wasn't the non-existent weapons of mass destruction. Nor was their threat so-called "Quitbist movement." (doing a Google to find out what is out there about the topic I found an old forum post by someone who doesn't know how to spell Taliban much less anything else except for being a misinformed religious bigot; and many posts in what appeared to be Germanic languages - ah, back to the German bigotry? btw "quitbist" refers to sects of the Muslim religion).
The threat of Iraq was that the week we attacked them they were planning on changing their currency base from the dollar to the Euro. They were changing because - as you can see if the value of the dollar in the EU - having us as a basis is no longer a good idea. Thanks for that one Republicans. Nope. The weak economy on the world stage is the US, not the EU and certainly not the Middle East.
And, as ever, Iraq not only had no part in 9/11, they were good at keeping Al Qaeda out of their country until we destroyed their anti-Al Qaeda government and we opened Iraq to Al Qaeda.

I don't see or hear any Obama supporters saying he is our savior. That's a FOX news talking point, but nice try. I myself said I can't wait to see him get us back on track. And if you saw his speech last night, he spoke of personal responsibility (gasp--I know, hard to believe, isn't it though?). The commentators said he showed himself to be not a liberal, but a democrat. If you haven't read it you can get a copy of it on the web. And I think you should if you think any of what you said was true.

Obamas only strength is his ability to read what he was told to say and he does it very well.
He writes many of his speeches himself, including the keynote speech he delivered in 2004 at the Democratic National Convention, the speech on race after the Rev. Wright blowout, and the one last night.
Take him off a written speech , let him say what he really thinks around those he is most comfortable with and you find out pretty quick any common American is not who is matches up with.
