Abortion is always railed against by the Rs, yet, they don't care if 18,000 Americans die every year from lack of healthcare! Why is that? Because they profit from the 18k?
If they really cared about human life, they would act much differently towards their fellow human beings.
600,000 innocent Iraqis wouldn't just be a statistic to them.
They want to prevent abortion, but the have bloodlust for adults. There's your Christian values! | |

Obama has claimed to be a man of God. "I am a Christian", he has said more than once.
Yet he has voted against the ban on partial-birth abortion, a medical procedure that breaks a perfectly healthy newborns neck at birth.
He has voted against a bill that would make it illegal for Md's to allow a baby that survived after such a horrible procedure to die in a trash can, without medical care.

Posted: 8/29/2008 6:48:59 PM | I did research both McCain and Obama on partial birth abortion. Both took the same stand that abortions are for rape, incest and to protect the life of the mother. They have the same position. Both speak of beginning a dialog on the topic.
Obama's position on the partial birth abortion bill was that it did not have a provision to protect the health of the mother. Give him one that protects the mother. After al, that would be the Christian thing to do.
ps. McCain waffled on what he would do if his daughter wanted an abortion and sounded quite pro-choice about it, actually.

Who are you to say he's not a Christian? Is he picking these women up to bring them to the clinic? Is he impregnating them himself and paying for their abortions? No. He has said he doesn't like it, wishes it were not the sad reality that it is....but that he is not the one to change the constitution. And for you to think or say that he is not a Christian just because he doesn't think the same way you do is "evidence to the contrary at your service". Next. | |

(paraphrased because I didn't feel like googling).
Barbe, I don't doubt for a second that Obama would pick someone on the other side of the aisle for his cabinet. He does have a lot of respect from his peers in the Senate on both sides and has been known to work with both sides. Plus, he's a progressive thinker and not closed minded. And from the things he was saying during the speech last night about how we really can come to agreements on things such as abortion and gun control, I bet he's actually planning on it. I hope Michelle has the new China pattern all picked out, so she can get right to work too as soon as they move in. :) | |

But that coulda just been a kick ass batch o' weed........tough to say. My sense while in that euphoric fog was that the frog seemed to have more relevance then Soros' investment in.....whatever.
