All men would cheat given the chance...Do you agree?

I dont agree, I've never cheated and never felt the need. if you actually love the person your with, then you dont need anyone else. If you find your looking around all the time, your not happy and need to get out. If i ever felt that in a relationship I would first try and re-spark, and if that didnt work I'd end it.

If someone cheated on me, and I loved them, i'd be devastated so I'd expect the same in return.

Trust is the key.

According to the survey in todays Sun newspaper, women are more likely to cheat...I'm just quoting the Sun.

Although I don't believe this to be a true representation of the actual figures. Of course men cheat more than women that's a given.

Exactly my point Phil......sorry if i made a riddle out of my last post (ive a habit of doing that sometime).
What i really meant to say was: when i love a man, i love him, i give my heart to him, and i expect the same in return. I will ALWAYS do my best for him, and wouldnt dream of cheating or looking around. I expect the same....and IF for some reason its not going to plan, or you have reason to suspect the other is cheating......well to me that means the trust is gone and its time to move on, no matter how much it hurts!

well this a half cut personal opinion: - No not all men cheat. some commit a loving relationship body and soul.
Women are as likely to be tempted to cheat as men but maybe a little slower to react.
In all honesty I believe when either gender begins to develop an emotional bond with another who is not the partner then thats dangerous, kissing would count as cheating 4 me, but may not be deal breaker as long as all contact ceased. But really people in loving and fulfilling relationships where needs are met don't look outside........they don't need to. As a family planning nurse once told me 'the dog that doesn't get fed at home will eat elsewhere' fluckin biatch, I nearly lamped her

Ah, another one of those "so much misandry, so little time" threads.

In *my* experience, women have far more difficulty staying faithful than me.

But carry on with your gender stereotypes; it's not like anyone's interested in anything I've got to say (after all, I have one of those pesky Y chromosomes).

I'm sorry, but I find the ramblings of a drug addled slapper a little hard to take seriously!
Women are just as likely as men to stray from the marital bed as men, temptation is a two way street, how can anyone gather a realistic figure for a poll or any type of fact gathering project? if a man or woman is going to cheat on a partner, why ffs sake would they tell anyone? Its pure conjecture, give a dog a bad name etc, ever read Lady chatterlys lover, or maybe some divorce papers?

The former girlfriend of Pete Doherty also claimed that all men were barrstards!

Would you take any statement from someone who regularly indulges in the Columbian rainforest seriously ?

Do you agree with her view that all men would cheat given the chance?.........

No, However I do believe that any relationship that has an unsatisfying or incompatible sex life will create a weakness in this very important area and this is where people stray and seek out what they are missing .

Ticking all boxes for me includes that very important part "Sex" , why would I be with a "Spitter" when I want to be with a "Swallower" ???

If your a man have you always stayed faithful to your partner and never cheated?

Yes I have always stayed faithful and no I haven't cheated.

How would you define cheating?

Cheating by definition is to deceive , therefore if you lie and deceive in relation to this subject then your cheating.

Would kissing another woman be acceptable?

It would depend on the circumstances and the type of kiss you are talking about . There's a kiss and then there's a kiss [ you know what I'm saying !]

Why is it seen as less wrong when a woman cheats but more wrong when a man does?

It isn't as far as I'm concerned or that I'm aware of . Cheating is cheating and wrong full stop. Its equally as bad whether you be a man or a woman .

Do you agree with her view that all men would cheat given the chance

Absolutely not ! I haven't read any other posts / comments on this thread as yet, but I would be willing to stake my life, on the vast majority [if not all] of ladies answering Yes to that question. It really annoys me when I hear women say this . I find it insulting and ignorant . How can you generalise / stereotype half the worlds population ? usually based on having an ex-boyfriend who cheated . Well, this may astound you ladies but you are all wrong with that assumption.

Maybe you should go read the comments then shouldn't you as I beg to differ on your assumption that most women would agree with that stupid womans statement. Yes some have but in no ways the majority! Before you start a rant maybe read the comments eh?

Edit: quite hilarious really when you are also making assumptions as to what women think...walks away shaking head...

All men don't cheat! I never ever have (I hate it) yet have had plenty of opportunity to do so!

I'd say women are just as likely to cheat in general as men though!

Just my thoughts..... x

Yes, I think all men would cheat given the chance.

A man is only faithful for 3 reasons: he's too shy to try it on, too scared of getting caught or too butt-ugly to pull. There are no other reasons.

Men are biologically hard-wired to spread their seed far and wide to ensure the survival of, and diversity in, the species. It's actually quite unnatural for a man to be contentedly monogamous.

He must have hurt you badly to give you such a narrow minded view of the male population in general, or are you in fact judging men by your own standards, never heard so much nonsense for a long while, yet another unfounded sweeping generalisation!

since when Kate Moss is the oraculum of human knowledge?

she said something that gained publicity, perhaps that's all she wanted

suppose if she said "quite a lot of men would cheat, but also some would not" - would that be "sensational"?

most likely not.

so, she has to say something "sensational" - true, or less so, is actually irrelevant - to gain media attention....that's how it works

I guess your life at worth much then sweet seeing as the vast majority of us women did not answer yes.....It really annoys me when men assume....I find it insulting ang ignorant that you can generalise/sterotype half the worlds population based on your own assumptions assuming we all have an ex who has cheated.....Well this may astound you sir but you are very wrong in your asumption...

Has anyone in here never cheated once in their whole life?

I can categorically state I have cheated on some partners, but never cheated on others.

My reasons were that I obviously wasn't happy. However, with the right person, I can 100% honestly say I would never cheat on them.

After 12 years of partying and being sexually promiscuous, i am now really bored with that lifestyle, and feel like it has been a spiritually hollow experience, so i'm now waiting for the right person, which is something i am doing naturally, no effort required.

I anticipated my post would spark a bit of righteous indignation. But we can't ignore evolution and the biological imperative - or the psychosexual dynamics.

A man can love a woman with all his heart -- but still quite happily shag others. This is because men view the sex act as solely a physical function, like peeing or sneezing. A rip ina fur jacket would do.

A woman has to take a man 'inside' her body, so it's personal and intimate to her, the ultimate gesture of trust. This creates in her an EMOTIONAL bond with her partner, whereas no such bond is created nor required for a man to have sex.

Now, if we are talking about unhappy and insecure men who constantly need a proof of what great males they are to make themselves feel good and boost their male ego, then in my opinion, no matter what sex they have in their relationships, yes, they will cheat. This, next to alcohol or drugs, will be their way to escape and get the thrill of something different again.
On the other hand, there still are, I hope :), men who are content and in agreement with their masculinity and able to keep their self-esteem high enough not to look for the superficial.

Debz, I think you're generalising an awful lot.

Not all men at every stage of their life are like that. To be honest, I know more morally dubious women than I do men. I know 2 of my girl friends are cheating on their partners, I don't know of any of my male friends who are doing it.

Cool Britannia, if none of your male friends are cheating, then there are 3 possible reasons for that. They're outlined in my earlier post.

For the record, I don't believe all men are bad. They are simply, like women, the product of 6,000 years of evolution.
