Quit changing the bet. I said, today, right now, I would be willing to bet that Dallas loses their last game
Right now Dallas is scheduled to play Baltimore at home Dec. 20th. Possible last home game at Texas Stadium. Post season starts a new season who knows what will happen during the regular season. Your saying that Dallas would have to lose in the Super Bowl or playoffs for you to win your bet? Dallas could still Win their last game of the season and still not make the playoffs then you would lose your bet. I'm not sure what you mean by changing the bet.

Vegas would not allow a better to pick ANY (playoff-bound) team staight up to lose their last game of the year.
I bet they would. I go to Vegas every year and play the games in the Sports Book. Who in their right mind would bet 0n a Wild Card team playing on the Road to a team that had Home Field in the Playoffs with no point spread. I'm sure Vegas would take those bets forever.

Not at all. All I'm saying is that I bet Dallas loses its last game of the saeason. I don't care if it happens in the regular season (missing playoffs), wild card game, confrence championship or Super Bowl. (and arguing that "post-season is a new season and doesn't count - that's lame. The 2008 post-season is still a part of the 2008 NFL season. The 2008 NFL season ends with Super Bowl XLII, Feb. 1, 2009 in Tampa) I only brought up the Super Bowl because by that time every other team that had made the playoffs has already lost their last game of the season. Actually, based solely on odds, the Cowboys have a better chance of winning their final game if they DON'T make the playoffs. They already know who they play - the Baltimore Ravens.
I don't know why this is so hard for you to understand. If I put down a bet saying Dallas will lose their last game of the season, and they actually do make the playoffs, then the only way I lose the bet is if the Dallas Cowboys win the Sper Bowl. You won't find a professional bookie anywhere who will take that be from you straight up. If you do, let me know his number. I'm not even a betting man and I recognize the odds on that one are too good to pass up.

| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 8/31/2008 8:17:39 PM | | This this an actual question? Because if so, its understandable I suppose. Even though TJ was the Bengals #1 receiver last season and pretty much lead the league in catches.... | |

| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 8/31/2008 9:34:52 PM | I can't believe how uptight people can be. Chad Johnson is entertaining. Live and let live. Get off the high horses.
Chad Johnson rocks! | |

Good luck to you and your Broncos this year. It's going to be really neat watching Champ Bailey and John Lynch in the same secondary. I know that Champ Bailey is a cornerback guess John Lynch will be their Free safety.
|
| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 9/1/2008 8:26:53 AM | lynch left the broncos bout two weeks ago...
he tried out for the pats and got released, dont know if he signed with another team or not....

OWNED. | |

I can't believe the Patriots release him....I thought he had a good preseason game against the Giants. He was hitting hard....Although the Patriots do have depth in the safety postion. Some team will pick him up real soon.

Think so? You're wrong. Vegas will not take a bet where the better can make money simply by covering all the possibilities. If you were to place that separate bet, straight up, on evey single team in the NFL, you would come away ahead - A LOT AHEAD. That's not the way Vegas works. That's why there are odds. Odds balance out everything - then Vegas just waits for the better to get greedy ad double up one too many times.

I like lynch a lot...but he was just too much of a liablity in the passing game, big hitter but would get beat a lot over the top...I dont want to talk bad about the guy, but its just teh truth

This is what I'm referring to. They would love for a better to take the underdog team against a favorite team playing at home with no point spread.

| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 9/1/2008 10:22:07 AM | "They would love for a better to take the underdog team against a favorite team playing at home with no point spread. " That has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. I said I'd be willing to bet right now, straight up, that the Cowboys lose their final game this season and I was told that Vegas would take that bet and all my money.
The only way the Cowboys win their final game of the season is if they win the Super Bowl. So in essence the guy who argued my statement was saying that Vegas would give me straight up odds on a bet that the Cowboys DO NOT win the Super Bowl. Vegas won't even give THEMSELVES those odds.

I'm sure they could give those odds. It's not that impossible to do.

| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 9/7/2008 2:13:56 PM | | Ocho Cinco is the most overrated, number two receiver in the league. He's a better media player than he is a football player. No one would know who he was if he didn't perform some act everytime he makes a play. | |
|
| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 9/10/2008 7:49:09 PM | And the saga continues.
Apparently Chad Ocho Cinco has to buy out all of the Chad Johnson jerseys before the new Ocho Cinco jersey's hit the market and he is allowed to wear it.
NFL: 'Financial obligation remains' before Ocho Cinco on jersey

BALTIMORE -- Just when everyone thought it was over with the legal name change with Chad Ocho Cinco, the NFL threw a last-minute monkey wrench into his plans.
According to a press release by the Cincinnati Bengals, the NFL informed Ocho Cinco earlier Sunday that he will have to wear his original name on the back of his jersey. Ocho Cinco stepped on the field Sunday with the nameplate "C. Johnson."
The receiver had a legal name change in the state of Florida this summer so he could wear his former nickname of "Ocho Cinco" this season. Although the NFL recognized the name change, the release says "certain issues remain [with the NFL] to be resolved before Ocho Cinco will be permitted to wear his new surname on his jersey.'"
"He will wear the name Johnson on his jersey today and will be referred to as Chad Johnson on the official play-by-play sheet," the statement said. "Further questions should be directed to the league office."
Contacted Sunday by The Associated Press, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said, "He has a financial obligation to Reebok, which produces the jerseys available to fans. That has to be resolved before the on-field jersey can be changed.
"The same obligation exists for any player that changes his number or name."
Before watching the Indianapolis Colts play their first regular-season game at Lucas Oil Stadium, commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters that the name change on the jersey would likely occur soon.
"He's legally changed his name, so we're willing to recognize that," Goodell said. "There's what I call a more administrative issue that has to be dealt with. There's a large inventory of jerseys that are out there with 85 Johnson. Any player that changes a number or changes his name has to address that so that our licensing is not stuck with a large inventory. That's just something we're dealing with. As far as we're concerned, if he changes his name legally, that's fine with us."
After the Bengals' 17-10 loss to Baltimore, Ocho Cinco refused to address the NFL's ruling.
"I ain't worried about the name, man. We just lost the game," he said. "I ain't worried about that."

| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 9/12/2008 9:48:15 PM | I've met him and actually made him drop character.
I used to work at a car dealership in the cincinnati area where he bought a used car from. I liked that paticular car and was outside looking at it because I had actually been looking at it for myself. Everyone in the shop was ooohing and aaaahing over him, I basically ignored him untill I told him it needs a few lightening bolts on it :)
That made him drop character for a split second, i could see it in his eyes.
Go Bolts!
Ocho Cinco, you'll never be as good as your talent could be untill you drop the game and just play football

| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 9/12/2008 10:14:16 PM | | He should have to buy all of the jersies that Reebok made with Johnson on the back. Reebok spent money. They expect a return on their investment. Reebok shouldn't suffer a financial loss because Ocho Cinco (ochenta y cinco is espanol for eighty-five) decided to change his name without a proper warning. | |
|
| Chad Javon Ocho Cinco Posted: 9/13/2008 5:07:15 AM | | He can't have his new name on his Jersey until all the Johnson jerseys are bought. | |
