He died in a car accident 3 weeks ago, perhaps i should have invited everyone off POF to his funeral just to ensure that my credibility doesnt woosh out of the window

so he did'nt die when your daughter was 4 weeks old? as she is 2 years old now, so you never got chance to find out if he would work hard in the past 23 months that he was the father of your daughter,? Lies and more damn lies, sorry its not washing, you made it sound like his death left you a single parent, you would'nt know the tuth if it bit you on the arse, a reprihensible fabrication that you are still trying to carry off.

Oh dear, paris has left the site, how surprising, wonder if her alter-ego is going to have the good grace to do the same?

I have ploughed my way through the whole of this thread and, believe me, it was hard work at times. Paris has been blasted into outer space so I needn't bother with her. But the OP? Well, I must make a statement which concerns him.

I wish I paid £2,000 a month in income tax. If I earned so much that I had to pay 2 grand a month to the taxman I would be overjoyed to pay him. So, OP, what would you do if your income ground to a halt? We could head into a recession which would close a lot of small businesses and if we do then I hope that one of the businesses that fails will be yours. Not that I wish you any ill, I would just like to see you at the bottom of the ladder, scraping to make ends meet after your business has gone into liquidation and all your assets have been seized. After having a wage that forces you into paying 2 grand a month in income tax I would LOVE to see you try and live on the pittance that the Social Security system hands out in comparison to your present wage. However, I guess you're married with lotsa kiddywinkles and so you'd be able to screw the system that you so despise.

My advice to you, OP, is to sit back and enjoy the life of Riley you are living and just keep your mouth shut and not attack those who are worse off than you. Always remember this:

Be careful who you trample on on the way up because you never know who you will meet up with when you are on the way back down!

good advice FF12GM

just goes to show that earning over £4000 a month doesnt prevent someone from being a misery and looking over the fence to say that someone on benefits must be having a better life than themselves.

OP should do a bit of travelling around the world and see some of the acute poverty most of the world lives in and think himself lucky that he lives in england and pays £2000 a month in tax.

Not luck, hard work. I did not at any point say it was easy.

Thanks for the comment however, the point of the thread was to point out the fact that some people work hard day, and some sit at home doing nothing living rather comfortably, and its because of the benefit system that spoils people and make a lot of people rather lazy or should i say clever as it appears a better deal if someone wants the easy way out.
I have seen a lot of people detail how much less income support is compared to the average wage, however, somehow, it still appears a lot of people on inc support, have more expendable income that someone who is working full time paying basic bills and everything else, What i would be great is if someone on full income support could shed some light on this one as most people who have commented have been quick to say they dont actually get benefits or have not disclosed

are there are some missing posts here or something,

Why all of a sudden, a sustained campaign of relentless hostilaty towards Paris ? last I checked, she wasnt actually supporting my apparently heartless Benefit reduction campaign.

Read the last 2 pages of this thread, it will become obvious that she deleted her own account rather than answer some very pointed questions about the obvious lies she was spouting to further her own cause.

"Not luck, hard work. I did not at any point say it was easy."

you were lucky enough to be in the position to work hard and reap a reward for it. if you think you are no better off than someone on benefits then adjust your lifestyle so that you are. there always going to be people who are going to milk the system too. but you're in a much better position to progress in life than they are because they dependant on the system. but i guess it depends on how you look at it. if you're going to be about bitter what other people are doing, then you aint going to progress are you?

go read Fooled by Randomness and get some perspective on life. Behavior patterns that lead to astronomical success tend to be very similar to those which lead to catastrophic failure. If it was just a matter of hard work the world would be full of millionaires, it is more closely related to the level of risk one is prepared (or able) to expose ones self to.

OP maybe you need to take a look at Tonibees comments. He has made a really valid contribution to this debate, yet you seem to have ignored it so far

I pay way too much tax, infact over 2 grand a month of it

if your paying that much tax I find it hard to believe you don't use an accountant.
Most of us know somebody earning "mega bucks", if you can persuade them to discus their financial details with any candour you're probably in for a shock. The people I've known who earn the most seem also to pay least tax, including a friend who, years ago, was paying less tax on £1,ooo per week than I was paying through PAYE on less than £100.
As a country we probably lose more to tax "avoidance" (just a polite word for evasion in my opinion) than we do to the dreaded "scroungers" , "benefit cheats" etc.
For a really high tax band, look to them; anything they manage to earn is taxed at £1 in the £1. Yes we save our highest tax ,100% ,for the poorest in our community.

I moderate on another site.....well, Admin actually.....and if I came across a message like that one I would impose a life ban on the poster and their IP address. It is cruel and I hope the moderators here take the necessary action. Now to report your post....if I can find out how to do it.

Thanks for the wise words,

Believe me i would love to get an accountant that will put me on "minimum" wage and then i can then draw director dividends at no extra tax, Thats one way of doing it But, I work in an industry that always has many eyes on myself and others, under the microscope.

But is your point not a sign that there is something wrong ? .The fact that we have to cook up and devise all sorts of innovative ways to avoid the tax man. Simply points out, not just me, but a lot of people pay too much tax.
