Hmmm... I wonder if Sarah Palin's god is not the one most of us worship, who said "Turn the other cheek" and things like that.
I suspect maybe she worships the Roman god of War: Mars.. or some god like that... not the one I believe in.

We all know God's not only an American, but he's actually a Republican too. He sits there all day long, and all night long, and looks down lovingly at His nation doing His bidding.
The weird thing is that American's don't start shuddering when they hear people talking like this. If our leader claimed to be on God's buddy list, and doing His bidding, and claiming that in someway God's special country was Canada ?
We'd check him for possible hypothermia as a cause, and then (if not) wrap him up in a straight jacket, and cart him off.
Our Prime Minister ended his first speech here in Canada after election with "God Bless Canada" and pretty much the majority of the nation went........."Excuse me, did he just say what I thought he just said ? " 
I do like the idea of God's pipeline, though.

Palin on Aug. 27 signed a bill authorizing the state to award Calgary-based TransCanada a license to build the 1,715- mile (2,744-kilometer) link from Prudhoe Bay to the Alberta Hub in Canada, according to a statement. The license will be granted in 90 days.

GOD = Gold Oil and Drugs
Think about it. God is never once called God in the bible or any other "holy" book that I know of. The God(s) in the bible had many names but none of them are God. So why do we use this silly acronym? Dont she mean Yahweh, Elohim or Jehovah? NOPE she means GOD. So anytime these people use the term GOD remember they are talking about Gold Oil and Drugs.
So When she said it is a task from GOD to slaughter hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and 4,000+ americans she means it is a task for Gold Oil and Drugs. I pray for these people they need lots of love to make up for whatever suffering people did to them to want to make so many other people suffer like this and then blame it on GOD.

1) The Director of Public Safety had to resign because he refused to fire her ex-brother-in-law as a state trooper because he was in a custody fight with her sister. My question is... if she's willing to do this, what will she be willing to do when she becomes vice president... or God forbid, if something should happen to McCain and she becomes president?!
2) It is likely that Sarah Palin was pregnant before she got married... so shot gun weddings seem to be running in the family... My question is... is this the type of behavior i want to be teaching my children?
If the Iraq war is a task from God and we're now claiming "victory" because we were able to liberate the good people of Iraq from their dictator... are we now going to do the same in each country where the people are victimized or was this a one shot deal because we could and we truly went in for another reason? | |

Umm you left out a part ... We went to liberate the Iraqi people from the dictator the USA put into power via 3 CIA backed coups! When they said they got their man they were not lying Saddam was ALWAYS their man! They put him in power because the guy before him wanted to nationalize the oil for the benefit of Iraqis! So pow just like what has been done all over latin america the covert ops boy go have a field day and put in a loony dictator. Same as it ever was. I bet god told them to put dictators all over the world and then say we champion democracy too. | |

The New York Times is not exactly what many would refer to as some great bastion of objectivity. However, my guess is that there is a great deal more to this ex brother in law story than is being told. Maybe we should see if there is anything more come out about this matter, before we go making judgment calls.

It is also likely a great many prominent people throughout history were pregnant, or fathered a child, out of wedlock.
Some prominent figures in politics visit prostitutes, on taxpayer time, and use taxpayer dollars to pay for the prostitutes' services. Other prominent leaders have sex with interns in their offices, while on the phone with foriegn leaders. These people have somehow remained in their respective public offices.
I heard it said today, that poor people have shotgun weddings. Rich people have 13 pound premature babies.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was more than a little promiscuous, while he was married, and had children. Yet, Mr. King is touted as a great civil rights leader.
But, all of these shortcomings are not to be considered when it is a liberal that has them. Oh no, these are personal matters, and have no bearing on their ability to lead, or serve the public.
Perhaps we should look just a little further back in history, before questioning the morality of a candidate, whether they be liberal or conservative. | |

Someone asked him about Rudy Guliani's affair and should it be off limits. The answer was, if Bill Clinton's affairs are brought up to call his character into question then Guliani was no different. And Republicans had no right to tell anyone not to bring it up, after what had been done to Clinton. I have a feeling that after that fiasco, it's always going to be tit for tat.
But going back to the original question. The whole Iraq War being a task from God. Ridiculous. It is an extremist statement. No different than a Islamic Extremist using God as his excuse to be a terrorist. | |

Let's stay focused here shall we? We're not talking about anyone but Palin. She wants to be your vice president (and possibly your president). She represents the party of "family values".
