The only thing you could really say of Biology compared to the other sciences is possibly that it is the most applied, but even that is subjective (and in many cases wrong).

Im beginning to warm to you...

in what way is it the most applied? the last time i looked, Darwinism was just a theory. and as far as i know, a lot of molecular biology is just, well... chemistry.
how is that more applied that say, the law of conservation of momentum?

yes, it is a cheese/jam comparison. but it is in no way the far most "applied".
newtonian physics is far more applied. just look at the world around you.

Yep. in the same way that aeronautics is just.. well.. flying

Its not the underestimation of human ability that makes me think we are incapable of creating HIV, its based on what virology/immunology as a science has learnt. Viruses easily outwit us at every turn, despite our huge 'superior' human brain. Science in all its wisdom, can often career on ahead and consider what is possible in theory and forget what is actually plausible. Personally speaking, remembering that something 30 or 40 nanometeres across can kill a human, keeps me quite humble.

Darwinism a theory? Big bang is a theory... isnt much of physics, particularly in space based mostly on theory?
Actually Ill make that a rhetorical question as I am diverting higely from the point of the thread.
