McCain's affair is well documented, the hypocracy of the right is also well documented, so I am interested to see what happens. . . Regarding this sex scandel that will never mount to more then the ink used for the article and inspite of the fact that Paylin is concidering sueing the Enquirer for defamation of character, etc., the Paylin's aren't going to let the Enquirer go unchallenged, nothing will come of this because if they had been swingers and Paylin had had affairs, someone in ALaska having knowlegdge if it had been true would have leaked that news long ago to hurt Paylin's political career right here in Alaska for some kind of personal profit while she was running for mayor or governor.
Next, Paylin is not against sex education. She like many others are against sex education being taught how liberals have wanted it done from passing out condomes to learning how to roll them down a dildo with graphic pictures and or movies of people having sexual intercourse. There was nothing wrong with the way sex use to be taught about with some drawings in a book/pamphlet of the penis and vagina and maybe penciled figures in the missionary position. Sex education now is comparable to sitting in a room with your choice of a porn mag of your liking with a xxx movie on the screen and a variety of dildos and condoms on a desk to choose from for practice. This type of sex education actually encourages sex. It in no way teaches a teen should wait till they are a bit older. And yes, I do know of what goes on because my daughter has told me what and how they teach sex education in her "health" classes. Sex education is to graphic and does not need to be that graphic and Paylin is against that type of extreme teaching of human sexuality to teens. Most teens now in our day and time by middle school age can tell you what vaginal, anal, and head exactly is and how it is done from what they have seen in the media, movies and web.
About the Enquirer, I'm sure they get thousands of letters every day about just about any public person. Whether it sells papers or not is another matter. A VP is going to sell a lot more papers than some obscure governor that no one has heard of.
As far as sex ed goes, why not a push for getting things back to the way they were, which were helpful and acceptable to the greatest majority, instead of swing to the opposite unproductive unrealistic extreme? "Just say no", didn't work for drugs and doesn't for sex. | |

News flash to anyone who believes that: Every town has a City Attorney either on staff or under contract to advise the Mayor and City Council on legal issues. If she had even considered such an idiotic idea, the City Attorney would have set her straight in a matter of minutes.
I also saw the silly accusation that she fired the head librarian because the woman wouldn't go along with the book-banning scheme.
News flash: Most munipical employees are unionized and cannot be fired without cause. Again, the City Attorney would have told Sarah Palin that she was opening the City up to a huge lawsuit for wrongful discharge if she fired a librarian for not obeying an unconstitutional order.

Sarah had no problem with the City Attorney voicing such concerns as she fired him too, during that time, and replaced him with Ken Jacobus, the counsel for the Alaskan state Republican Party. Really a pretty shrewd move considering this was a small town cultural dispute.
Seems that Sarah Palin has a similar view of the law in governing Wasilla, that the Bush Administration had for federal law as evidenced in its firing of federal attorneys based on political metrics. Who knows whether she came up with this trick all on her own or was 'coached' by the party faithful.
The first thing Palin did after being elected was fire six department heads in the City, including the Police Commissioner and the librarian. As The Anchorage Daily News put it: "the newly elected mayor of Wasilla has asked all of the city's top managers to resign in order to test their loyalty to her administration." It added:
She's also been criticized by the local semiweekly newspaper for a new policy requiring department heads to get the mayor's approval before talking to reporters. An editorial in The Frontiersman labeled it a "gag order."
... one of the very first things she did after being elected Mayor was pressure the librarian to ban books which she found offensive in some way:
Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker {Emmons}, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor.
It eventually turned out that Emmons termination was cancelled or recinded.
Other than banning books which Palin disliked, what possible agenda could a librarian be expected to serve upon pain of firing? Community anger over Palin's attempt to fire the librarian was apparently intense, forcing Palin to reverse her decision. From the The Anchorage Daily News on February 1, 1997:
City librarian Mary Ellen Emmons will stay, but Police Chief Irl Stambaugh is on his own, Wasilla Mayor Sarah Palin announced Friday.
The decision came one day after letters signed by Palin were dropped on Stambaugh's and Emmon's desks, telling them their jobs were over as of Feb. 13.
The mayor told them she appreciated their service but felt it was time for a change. "I do not feel I have your full support in my efforts to govern the city of Wasilla. Therefore I intend to terminate your employment ..." the letter said.
Palin said Friday she now feels Emmons supports her but does not feel the same about Stambaugh.
As to what prompted the change, Palin said she now has Emmons' assurance that she is behind her. She refused to give details about how Stambaugh has not supported her, saying only that "You know in your heart when someone is supportive of you."
Thereafter, Palin fired the City Attorney, who was replaced by Ken Jacobus, the counsel for the Alaskan state Republican Party. Between this behavior almost immediately upon becoming Mayor and her subsequent firing of the State Police Commissioner while Governor, Palin has a rather clear pattern of trying to use her power to advance personal grievances and fill government positions with political hacks, cronies, and those who are loyal to her politically -- exactly what has infected so much of the Federal Government over the last eight years.

That's pretty rough when a Candidate's own running mate doesn't have confidence in him. Bet that will resurface strongly now...that the Media is trying to take Palin down. Because thing is people are getting real real fed up with the Media...so, if they go too far with McCain/Palin and continue to gloss over Obama/Biden, the people will revolt...and it will show in the landslide with McCain/Palin winning!
My guess is that Palin will emerge from all this still as an excellent VP choice. Oh.... on TV, they are saying, that as of this weekend, there are now 30 Democrat lawyers combing through Palin's background. Palin is saying... go right ahead! 
It's becoming a joke in Alaska... that they count the Liberal lawyers/vultures who arrive on planes now.
Yet, the recently released Ayers papers aren't being examined by the Dems. Hope the Reps. do a thorough job of that, plus, more in-depth research into Obama's cocaine usage, close associations with Chicago gangsters and Wright. It's coming. Watch and see! | |

I'm confident that you're right. Young people will be voting in record numbers this time around which is a wonderfully refreshing first. I think they finally "get" the results of not participating in the process and we have Obama to thank for that. Those kids, will cell phones in hand, haven't been reached by the "polls" but they will be heard come November.

But the SERIOUS problem is that, once a liar, always a liar. Liars are simply not to be believed in any sense. Which is why McCain/Palin are doomed to fail. Whether it does or doesn't materialize is, IMHO, completely unimportant because she's already shown enough of her true colors so we can all figure out for ourselves exactly where she's coming from.
All Palin is is a distraction (and, giving credit where credit is due, very slick of McCain in chosing her). She's a distraction from the real issues which McCain can't/won't particularize. He can't because they don't differ from Bush one iota. Oh sure. Now he's for "change" after Obama made that notion meaningful and gave it substance. Well, he's been in congress for decades now. What exactly has this "maverick" ever changed except his mind....from one day to the next. He's truly a legend in his own mind and nowhere else.
The fact that McCain is hiding her from the public is such an obvious and shallow ploy, I really feel sorry for her because all they're doing is grooming her to be the patsy of the century and the ones to suffer for it are her family.
