Some more severe than others as I'm not crazy about heights but have no issues with planes...or, if the opportunity arose, jumping out of them for that matter.
It doesn't matter where that fear came from, as some like to analyze the crap out of that, it's there. Some people can control them and some can't. It's part of life.

It is pretty interesting stuff, where if they didn't learn to fear heights, they all would have dropped off the side of that mountain, didn't learn to fear spiders, they would have all perished from being bitten by that snake, etc. So fear does have its good points, but letting it control our lives too much, is not a good thing. :)

Of course a response analyzing people that their fear may or may not be caused by their father is much more insightful as compared to people just having fears. Heck, animals have fear, what caused that in them??? Their fathers? The media???? Maybe it was lack of counselling!!
I think linny just tagged new dawn!! lol!!!

I did want to go skydiving and booked a trip with a few friends on my birthday a few years back but a week before we supposed to go a woman plummeted to her death in Waterville. I cancelled. I'd probably go though if someone planned it and didn't give me any time to think about all the bad things that could happen.

The term Martial Arts actually refers to any sort of codified combat systems, regardless of origin.
Example: Martial Arts is to Jujutsu as Cars are to Ford.
The start of Asian Martial Arts (thought to be earliest) was thought to be around the 400 to 200BC time frame.
The Martial Arts did not reach Japan until ~19th Century and soon after that was in US.
So if you want to witness not just 2 generations of style but many more generations then China is your place.
p.s. I hear the milk is not so good, so maybe only Pepsi and for the love of mother Earth NO Sharkfin soup.

I have never been immersed in a country where everyone or almost everyone could not speak at least some English. I'm not sure there are such places around anymore unless you stay out of large cities or go to places where I probably would never choose to live for even a year, but I'm thinking Far East, maybe Thailand or Korea, somewhere not in a major city or tourist center, of course. I'm alweays open for suggestion, if anyone has done something similar and would like to share some info, experiences...
