No, it's not being subjective to use those adjectives to describe these "relationships", because those are words which people I know have used to describe them. It's called inductive reasoning when your conclusions are based on similar sets of circumstances being described the same way by different observers over a long period of time. Nothing subjective about it at all.
I don't have any beef with older women, and I have no beef with younger guys. It's just obvious to most people that these aren't real relationships. They are long-term booty-calls. | |

Attendant with this knowledge comes freedom. They don't have to play the "games".
So young men who are tired of the BS that comes from women their own age, look to
older women for fun no strings attached good times. Not rocket science at all.
I did it and had heaps of fun in my 20's. It wasn't about finding a marriage partner, it was

Yeah, my stunning '9-year-younger-than-me' ex had no other option for sex. Poor guy. He had to settle for me. That is one desperate man there. I'd better alert him to his flaw and I'd better hurry, he might need to rethink marrying the love of his life ~ she's actually 3 years older than I am.

Since high school I found "older" women fascinating and interesting.
Now that I am their age I still find them fascinating and interesting.
If I were to talk with MOST younger women (there are some exceptions) I would find their lack of life experience limiting.
However, the 'girls' my age are much more playful, less judgmental and willing to let me go out to play in the garage without thinking I am abandoning them. They know I will be back and when I am they are appreciative of small gestures of affection.
As far as sex is concerned - I won't comment on that because it is for someone special and not for a public domain.
As for the younger guys who are not interested in older women - I think they are missing out on a rewarding and developmentally valuable time. | |

Not long ago I went out and met someone 5 years older for coffee. She was a nice lady but in person looked older than what she said. All cool though because I thought she was nice and only out to hang out and make a friend. I was in awe when she started to brag about herself and how guys shy from her because of her good looks. She then went on to say how she recently dated a 26 year old. I thought to myself this lady has too big of a head. I felt bad for her because she was really looking for someone of long term companionship and I knew that the only thing this 26 year old wanted was a piece of @ss. I wanted to give her encouragement but some how she had me as being the old scruffy dog. She was not close to what I think is attractive but I did not dare ruin her inflated self esteem. I just think in the end she is just going to be more depressed when her fantasy land exposes reality | |

Posted: 10/15/2008 11:40:53 PM | | different strokes...for different folks. if it's just sex it's alot of reasons people already mentioned. if it's an emotional connextion/relationship it's bc those two people connected beyond what their age dictates and sometimes that connection makes up for the differences in life status. there are many life long marriages that have lasted with vast age discrepancy between the partners. i, myself, tend to lean towards younger guys but I'm open to people in general...just whoever i feel a connection with is who i am interested in building relationships with. | |

I've known a woman several years older than I (that was a long time ago) and I was interested in her for a serious long-lasting relation. She must have been well over a decade older.

Just to clarify----I am not defending myself but rather expressing what I've personally experienced.. I married a man four yrs younger than me, and I've dated men even younger....but for those who 'chase' older women for 'sex only' generally make it pretty clear...and that is what the crux of this thread is about. Sometimes the package might not appeal to you....but it does to another. As it's been said one man's trash is another man's treasure. It's really subjective to be honest.
By the way, most men, regardless of age, are just looking for sex---but thankfully, not all men are like that. I think it's simply more palatable for the general population to be 'okay' with a much older man and a younger woman than a much older woman and a younger man. The other thing is, you make it sound like most older woman have no clear perception of their worth in the eyes of some men---as if we are merely cattle that is begging to be prodded.
I know what I like---I know what I want and I've never had a problem getting it. I know most guys only want sex when they start getting all cutesy and flirty----but did it ever occur to you for one moment that maybe---just maybe---that's all some woman might want from a younger man----or any man for that matter??? It's not a man's world anymore cuz woman are far more smarter and aggressive than many a man would like to believe.

I like to call it 'being dumb as a fox' because in the hunt most men like to believe we have NO clue that we are being pursued for anything but romance, when in reality the only thing some men want is a slice of hot apple pie. Ladies are far smarter than the typical male would allow himself to believe so it's easy to see how women are viewed as naive and desperate for some attention.
Believe me---I have no problem going along with the game---for me it's always been a win win situation.

If sex is all you are out for then great...just so you are cool with it that way and know that is all he wants.
If you are turning down people your age for the young buck then just know it is a fling and you have lost the potential of a long term lover with someone your age.
Alot of guys see sex much different than women.....In college we had the phrase...."Did you have to chew your paw off to get away this morning" What that meant is the guy got drunk...wasn't getting any and took what was available at the door at 2 am.....It was always the same women. And yes they were not good looking just easy and enough beers made them ok for sex...In the morning it was as though the bear trap got ya. The same is men chasing older women...it is available and doesn't take much work but it is not what they want for long. If you like that and using them like they are using you then hey more power to you | |

The man I see is my age though I'm about a month older than he is....and the thing is I know plenty of guys who fake relationships on a regular basis because of sex and sex only.
Yes, I've had much younger lovers--they are fun and don't give me a headache. No one can be used unless they allow it. I don't call consensual sex using--I call it enjoyable fun with someone I'm attracted too...besides ugly is only a light switch away-right?! ( oh, wait, the man had to chew his arm off to free himself from muh bed!)
Like I said before-I prefer sex with the lights on--it's far better than feeling around in the dark...lol. Bigg D you've made your point that you feel younger men chase older women to use them for sex--and I'm not saying you are incorrect in your thinking, but if two people find each other desirable ( even if you have a hard time digesting that notion) why does it matter if they are having sex or not?
It is what it is and if a man wants to think he's superior to me and USING me---than let him....because in the end I might have just wanted to enjoy his body in a most pleasurable way. If that makes me a bad girl...oh well...but I know enough bad boys who taught me how to be a bad girl and good at it.

ok here's my twist on the subject, call me old fashioned...
sons fall in love with their mothers immediately...um if ya can't see the realism in that..watch divorce court...
attractions are rooted in that idea, and women know it, men play with it
we no longer have to be hunter/gatherers just to be loved...and lil sue doesn't have to be at your beck and call to survive...
my honest answer to the question is that security be it emotional, financial, physical or otherwise is attractive...
not everyones needs are linked the same way...and that is experience... highly attractive to those of lesser knowledge and less esteemed than it should be in prize males ... if I had a buck for every woman I've met that could back that up...
somebody would find a way to hang me for it...
the short answer would be that confidence is attractive on both sides of the spectrum..
finding out who you really are and what you really want....much more difficult
and women find it faster than most average hunter/gatherers...
love originated from woman kind...and all us ole dudes are still playin catchup
trying to figure out how to wire stereos while she's trying to understand why ya didn't straighten out your underwear drawer... | |
