Posted: 9/20/2008 11:17:44 AM | Lori, I'd say the answer is that young men have a certain "nervousness" to conquer in young women. It tends to drive them away; or, to complicate how the desired motions and emotions.
An "older" woman may not have such hang-ups. Nervousness, low self-esteem, self-doubt...an "older" woman will not express those insecurities (at least not out loud). | |

I am choosy and do have age limits, I am not looking to teach someone what to do and in need of a sat nav to find his way around, the ones I have dated have been mature, loving and are not just looking for a lady as a trophy. In my limited experience I find fellas my own age act very old for their age and set in their ways, don't want to go out unles its sitting in a pub all night or play bingo (yuk), not very adventurous or have stamina when it comes lovemaking (yes love making, not just sex) nod off at the drop of a hat while watching TV or a film....all in all, don't have any get up and go.  | |

I don't understand the issue about age, though. I think a lot of people get fixated on age during their pre-college years and never grow past that. I was blessed to grow up in a family where age diversity was common and normal. I tend to be age blind in a lot of ways and vear away from assumptions and stereotypes about people regarding their age. Besides, I'm not a numbers person and never will be. Age is mathematical and attraction is emotional/physical/or both. They don't relate. It is up to each couple (and no one else!) to define the paramaters of their relationship and what is right for them. If they're happy and not hurting anyone, then I'm happy for them.

Yes, I confess...one, 5 years (my ex-wife). One, 8 years (was 24, she, 32). And one, (more like f*ck buddies...I was 22, she was 37) 15 years.

No trolling necessary, as the young men come to us . Not that I owe you a response, but just to clarify, I personally do not date younger men. I never have and probably never will. I started this thread to get a better understanding, for many other women were also contacted over & over again by young men.
when I was a younger man older women meant easy

The fact they're probably much more experienced than myself, the feeling of 'naughtiness' of being with someone far older than I am, and the chance to satisfy someone much older than me are all incredibly arousing. To me at least lol.
Since there's a ton of posts here I didn't really read through them all, but I did take some glances. It seems most women here just think it's because ''guys are horny a lot and like sex". While that is true, there can, and typically is more on the issue than just that.
Take me for example! Honestly, I think regarding a normal relationship, it shouldn't really even be an issue, and for those just looking to get laid, I think it's just another fetish. For every type of person, there's another fetish. | |

Here is another reason: these older women seem think that men my age can't get it up any more, but that is all bull. We older men want younger women. The younger men don't like it. That's just too bad . As long as the young woman is over twenty one, she as the right to dating whomever she pleases.

Most have full bodies and don't look like a rake as some young woman do. Also older woman take a better care of themselves than a younger woman. Gentlemen, please help me understand why so many young men seem to be interested in older ladies, whether to date or have sex? Some of my friends and I were discussing it the other day and it seems we all had different opinions! Is this a common fantasy among men...perhaps the "Mrs. Robinson" syndrome? I know some younger ladies like older men, but I don't think it's as common as younger men looking for the older woman. What, truly, is the attraction?
Perhaps I'm wrong but it almost sounds as if you are complaining. If younger women were beating down my door wanting to have sex with me you wouldn't hear me complain.....  | |

Considering the teacher scandles, apparently their is some success rate in finding one that takes the bait.
I kinda thought at one time that it was the "experience" thing- and at 47- I'm still looking for that.
It's different with the older guys/young women thing-
they are looking for "affluent" looking men- ie, Mercedes Benz, gold plated credit cards, etc. | |

She was a very attractive wman, great head on her shoulders, wine & art lover, and as she put it, "appreciated younger men" because they don't get jealous and they have more free time to have a relationship than men her age. I know that isn't true in all aspects, but I didn't find out for almost a week after we went out how old she was. She looked early 40's to me. 5,6, 110 pounds, 34, 29, 34. Long blonde hair. Her kids were all older than me and were upset I was dating her. So she called it quits. She taught me a lot and we still talk to this day! We are very good friends.  | |
