I don't remember except that it was much the same way anybody else with class would have approached me. We ended up at the same bus stop at the same time quite often. We usually talked while waiting for the bus - his story, my story. Then one day, not too much later he asked me if I'd like to go dancing. And we did.
And BTW, he wasn't black; he was brown skinned. I wasn't white; I was beige skinned. The way I look at it we are simply different depths of brown. As an artist, brown is the resulting colour of mixing the three primary colours all together. | |

I don't care if a man is purple if he is a nice, articulate, polite person, non drunk/drug user, I will give him a chance if I am attracted to him.
If he or any other man comes across calling me "his ho or ****," he is offically done like dishes.
Just approach a white woman the same as you would any other woman.
As for why would a black male want to date a white female, maybe he wants some white chocolate for a change. | |

I agree with you fixed heart I see this getting ugly, from the size queens who just want a black mans organ, and a large black mans organ to posts like NVictor's and angry nebula22 but it also has amazing replies particularly from Kari1 and Mr TigerWoods0924 over there. All I could say is White women don't smile at me or I am not seeing it, and I am well aware that many white women just won't date black men. Also a very deep post by digdanz_10 very enlightening, thanks for keeping it real brotha. All in all, this should be a fascinating thread, thanks Lightingbird3!! | |

I haven't "been around the block" like some of my elders (no offense). But, common sense tells me that if the reception is cold...the inward sentiment is, too. I'm not saying that it (relations between us black men and white women) can't be achieved. I'm just realizing that at 34, having dated in and out of my races, and recently divorcing...that something has to give.
Lightningbird3, you seem all too intelligent, good looking, and civil to waste your time, running on ice. One of my favorite artists, Billy Joel, said it best..."Sometimes I feel as though I'm running on ice, paying the price too long. I'm slipping and sliding cause I'm running on ice, where did my life go wrong?"
Yours didn't. Theirs didn't either. Theirs is just not yours, and vice versa. Do I still get hot when I see an auburn-haired Cindy Crawford on TV? Oh yes! Do I get just as hot when I see Serena Williams on a tennis court? Absolutely! But, neither is here with you or me.
So, after all is said and done...don't look at it in terms of confidence. Look for facts. If you apply for the job, but get turned down, there are still other opportunities. Don't pass them all by.

But these are women who have histories of dating black men and very specific reasons why. I would think if you're looking for a woman who's not necessarily hung around around black people you might not want to alienate her by ephasizing the things that make you different.
I say just be youself, be honest and a nice guy and please don't look to depserate! No one likes that.

She meets this straight street thug who's been to jail, has bullet wounds, is in a gang, something like 50 cent, only reason he has access to the internet is cause hes in jail. They get to talking and hes not completely honest but hes nice to her and they can relate because of there extremes in society. shes impressed with him wants to go against daddy's will and be little daring. they meet and she finds out that he's a really nice person and cant understand how such a good person could have such a ****ed up life and maybe she comes to the conclusion that street people arn't so bad if there not getting shit on all the time. maybe some of her wealth gets contributed to understanding y and coming up with solutions to the problems of poverty world wide. And then maybe its no problem for a black man to meet a woman anywhere in the world ever again.... just a thought | |

This is why the Caucasian race are fading away with each generational wash. It's all part of an agenda, to make race mixing seem cool - the 'thing to do' - and if you get any flak from anyone (don't worry, we invented a word for those people) then that person must be a - racist. (Only the Caucasian race can be labelled racist.)
God was a racist, didn't you know? Remember in the New Testament, where he said to Pharaoh through Moses: "Tell him to let my people go." [Exodus 8:1]
Notice how He didn't say 'those' people - or 'them'? No, he was specific. He said my people. Ergo, the Egyptians were not His people. God was segregating people even back then. I could give you plenty biblical examples of this.
The Bible is clear about race mixing, but who cares - these days - when we all know better and are so smart with our constellations of crappy gadgets and our ever so cool talk? Who cares about something so sacred as their racial ancestry and keeping it pure?
I do, and I won't mix my genetic lineage for anyone.

You people are just so silly -news flash we are all one family/race. Your genetic lineage is already 'mixed' and linked to all humans alive. Theres no such thing as a 'pure' race. As for biblical quotes - not everyone believes as you do so offering such quotes as proof doesn't say much about valdity or reliability. Your foundation is based in faith which is too low a burden of proof for me...

Then she'll probably think you're gay, so you'll have to say something really manly like "Damn, those Eagles really kicked the Ram's ass on Sunday!? It was like a prison fight!"...
But then she'll probably think you're an ex con, violent, or at the very least she doesn't care about football... So then you show your sensitive side with a line about how you wish you'd stayed home with your new puppy. But if you don't have a puppy and she asks you what kinda dog it is, then you're pretty much screwed... If she does, then change the subject to one of the other girls passing by... "Can you BELIEVE she had the nerve to wear that here? What a slut!" But be careful, because she may have the same outfit at home...
Damn... This White woman thing is complicated...
How bout, the same as you'd approach a black, hispanic, asian, jewish, aboriginee or midget....? Seems easy to me. | |
