Posted: 9/19/2008 6:16:33 AM | some folks are introverted like the 23 yr old poster a couple above. i'm extroverted and will do what i have to in order to have a good time. and i only had 2 beers and shot over a 3 hour plus night! kinda more than usual for me! but i realize what we do is not for everyone.
the young fellow previous would prefer to have our get togethers at Barnes & Noble i'm sure. anyone up for that?
it would be from 7 pm to 9 pm and would include poetry reading and selective quotes from our favorite 17th century literature. the highlight of the night would be the william shakespeare contest in which we would act out scenes from our most treasured Bard plays.

While I'm not much into politics, and can't really comment on 'what he has done for the world/country,' he has undisputedly been a positive role model for many people. He has shown that it is possible for someone to achieve anything they desire through motivation, hard work, and a positive attitude. Plus, his success story is clearly one of the best in recent history - going from a birth into borderline poverty in Austria, to domination in the fields of bodybuilding, acting (despite his accent..), and now politics. So he has made a few less than stellar movies, wtf have you done?
And to the 47 year old tanning salon addict, rennaisaince faire attending retard who has commented on my supposed love of Barnes & Noble and poetry readings... While I dislike, even despise poetry, it is my opinion that the best poets who ever lived, those who have come the closest to defining that which is, to transcribing feelings and life itself to paper, would have significant difficulty in conveying just how much of a pathetic, worthless nonfactor you are. | |

if you would like to be a part of this fun loving group, i am sure we would enjoy hearing more from you. if you would like to continue to bash my friends, i can only pass on to you a lesson my mother taugh me....it you have nothing nice to say - say nothing. if we are not the type of people that you enjoy talking to, then maybe another site would make you happier.

He (the young 23 year old) definitely is entitled to his opinion... but he and many others just don't get it of how much fun we have at these parties and the friendships that are made. We are at the parties to have fun, mingle, met those that we have made friends with, and make new friends. We, the Hermitage POF group, do not hold anything against any person's age and that is the way it should be, but don't knock us for having plain fun in dancing, mingling, laughing, and just having fun.
Tom, you know you are a sweetie and I am sure that the words of those who do not know you will not get you down.
Singlelibra, when is your birthday???? That weekend will be my birthday also... but wish I could say 40..... it actually will be the great "50" and still have lots of living to do yet. Not ready for that cane for many years. | |

There will be some fishies who don't have or won't want to go get costumes, which would leave a few 'social butterflies' as the only ones in comtumes. (example - number of shirts at the team sports party...don't get me wrong, it was great to see so much team spirit - even if it was black & gold, but there were a lot of people not in team colors. I think people are much more comfortable picking what they want to wear)
Just my thoughts. You know me...anything for a party. Either way I'm sure it will be great. I would love to take pictures again if that is ok. It was a blast to meet so many new fishies!!! | |

It seems very convenient to have the courtyard to our selves, then get to enjoy the music with out having to pay for a DJ or band. Then for those of us that dont want to drive home there are rooms right there. Although if someone can come up with a better place I'm sure we will take it into consideration for future parties.
There should be a new thread started with in a week for the next party, that is if I get it figured out!! | |
