Actually just because he has to be confirmed by the Senate(not Congress) does not mean that the President has to get permission from Congress to remove him.Case in point any member of the Cabinet can be fired by the President without Congressional approval even though the Senate has to Approve their Appointment.There are no members of the Government whose appointment has to be approved by the Congress,But there are many who must be approved by the Senate only.Take a Civics class and you will know these things.
P.S. look at my profile and notice my racial background.I used to attend manyDemocratic Party functions locally.I got tired of being asked my ancestry.Its never happened at a Republican or Libertarian function.

#1.- The SEC is a COMMISION, not an individual. Compose by 5 multi-partisan members, including independents "liberals".
#2.- The senate is PART of congress. The congress is composed of the upper and lower houses. Being the upper the senate. So, with out getting into details of syntax and contexts, CONGRESS HAS to corroborate the "appointees" . By the way, senate comes from the latin, "SENATUS " which means the council of the elder. No kidding, no wonder they all are "SENILE"... 
#3.- Thanks to Myers Vs. Unites Estates. The congress approval is not necessary to corroborate or dismiss some cabinet members or COMMISIONS.. But NOT the SEC. That has to be ratified BY the senate as well as is dismissal.
Regarding your experiences of "racism" in the "democratic" gatherings. I am reading right your statement. That came after You mentioned your ancestry or probably your last name. Which, if You had not mentioned, probably nothing would have happened. It has occurred to You that You are being accepted in the other party because You "look" white..?? 1) Neither McCain nor myself have called for the firing of the Commission.McCain called for the firing of the Chairman.You claimed that the President couldn't do that without permission of the Congress.
2)You used the wrong term which implied a certain ignorance of the process
3)Myers Vs. The United States basically states that the Legislative branch does not have the power to block the President from REMOVING ANY OFFICIAL HE APPOINTS BECAUSE OF ARTICLE 2 OF THE CONSTITUTION.It therefore rendered the Tenure Act of 1867 UNCONSTITUTIONAL and basically stated that in order for the legilature to limit the President's power they need a Constitutional Amendment.You basically countered your own argument.Typically I don't quote case law but since you started I thought I might clear things up for you.ONE of my degrees is in Political Science so civics is one of my hobbies.

Myers vs The United States reiterates the rights of the Supreme Court to declare an action of Congress to be unconstitutional.Article II of the Constitution outlines the process of appointment of certain Executive Branch Government officials and the powers of the Chief Executive Officer.Myers v USA states that the Congress cannot limit the Executive Branch without amending the Constitution.
Somewhere you are reading Case Law and getting exactly the opposite of what it is saying. | |

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The legislative branch cannot interfere with the executive branch in their internal machinations without passing an amendment to the Constitution And the executive branch does not need permission to fire people who do not please them in their branch exclusively.But the executive branch cannot remove a member from the Judiciary without an impeachment hearing.Just as a judge cannot remove a member of Congress or a member of the Executive Branch.The SEC Chairman is appointed by the executive branch with Senate Confirmation and can therefore be removed by the Chief Executive Officer Without Congressional approval. | |

As I said in one my previous posts The Chief Executive cannot remove a member of the judiciary such as Marbury was once his appointment was signed without an Impeachment hearing.I stated that in a previous post.The Chairman of the SEC is a member of the Executive branch and under the sole authority of the Executive branch and subject to Executive Removal. | |

What does THAT have to do with McCains poor voting record and policies over the last 8 years? Again, be honest, if you were advising McCain, YOU wouldn't have suggested he "POSTPONE" the debate. Especially now. Bottom line, your boy is showing his age, his tempermant, his fear, and his ability to sink to even lower depths. And for the record, Obama called him this morning and suggested they release joint statements concerning the crisis. And what did your boy McCain do? He released HIS OWN statement and tried to take it a step further by suggesting they POSTPONE the debates. And it's ALREADY BACKFIRING ON HIM BIG TIME. The epitome of political posturing. What? Your boy can't do two things at once? What kind of president can't deal with TWO issues at once!
