| What is a lost soul? Posted: 9/16/2008 1:49:58 PM | you know what I mean. Personal experience is one thing, and still mostly speculation as to whether it applies or not. But NO experience in it, and still throwing the negative stuff around can't help anyone.
It simply kills me that people always assume the worst, or look for the ulterior motive. Believe it or not, some people simply don't have those motives. There ARE good people in this world if we will simply open out eyes to seeing them. I've always maintained that we WILL find what we are looking for in someone, be that the good or the bad. Whether it's there or not in reality.

| What is a lost soul? Posted: 9/16/2008 2:20:55 PM | To Sorpion_66 ....
I joked earlier about this but I HAVE been there too ... 20 years ago I had been threw being neglected , molestion , raped and abanded with kids to raize ... I may have been sad after all that I had been threw BUT I was STRONG and ppl KNEW I WAS ... NEVER thought that 8 years later I would KNOW in my HEART that I had NO soul ... NEVER would of thought that one day I could not be STRONG ... HOW could I go threw ALL that and fall apart ? ... I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT I WOULD ONE DAY FALL APART AND BE LOST ...
I was a walking crying body ... I would open my eyes crying and I cried ALL day till I went to bed and when I opened my eyes again I was crying ... I BELIEVED there was nothing more than bones and flesh to everyone ... NOTHING BUT BONES AND FLESH ... THERE WAS NO GOD ... I FELT DEAD ... If walked into the front room and you asked what room I just came from I could NOT tell you and that is IF I could answer threw all the tears ... I HAD NO MEMORY OF ANYTHING ... NOT EVEN TWO MINUTES BEFORE ... This went on for weeks ... I WAS TRUELY A LOST SOUL ... YOU DONT KNOW UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN THREW IT ... Now I AM MUCH better and STRONGER than before ...

| What is a lost soul? Posted: 9/16/2008 4:09:17 PM | Interesting OP. I, at one time probably fit the proposed criteria here from many of the posters. I think some lost souls are just "floating" through life. I deem those the people who are completely emotionally unavailable, likely depressive and probably not filled with much joy/laughter. I was floating through my life a little differently. My mission was to make the entire world around me comfortable, all the while, being quite miserable within myself. I was living someone else's dreams. I know full well who that person is/was and the day I stopped trying to please her, I was no longer lost. I guess you could say ~ my soul was returned to me or that maybe I finally connected with my soul as it was intended to be all along, but was just a little off all the time. Old souls, lost souls, those who are soul-less are interesting concepts if you can wrap your mind around the possibilities. JMO | |

| What is a lost soul? Posted: 9/16/2008 4:50:32 PM | OP: There can be a few interpretations for this i.e. religious, spiritual, etc...... In the context that he utilized it (after you asking him what he wanted - I'm assuming from a woman?), it could be that he is not looking for an exclusive relationship. He may just be casually dating many women and content with this for now.
Ask him what he meant by this. He's the only one that can give you an accurate interpretation.
Best,

| What is a lost soul? Posted: 9/16/2008 7:26:07 PM | Scorpion: Bravo; I admire what you wrote and agree with you also.
Two great faults most people have : 1. They're too fearful of the past to trust. They lose so much not doing so. 2. They demand much more of others than they are capable of themselves. You have heard the statement that " most people will only see your faults and never recognize your successes." I think the reason that is true is because they themselves must find fault in someone else to gain confidence so they can feel better than another person is. It's kind of a dominance power thing with these kinds of people and sadly it is a majority. Why else would this be true ? I mean what does it do for anyone to identify and condem someone elses short commings ? Why not overlook it and accept them for the good things they are rather than the so called bad or unsuccessful. Psychologically it's all very interesting. Donald Trump may see me as a failure in life; yet a homeless will see me as rich and successful man. God may see Donald Trump as a failure in the end. So " One mans ceiling is always another mans floor and God will be the judge of all of us in the end."
I told my Daughter that you have to bend like the tall grass in life, because the wind is strong and it will snap you in half if you don't. In other words I told her; do your best don't worry about the mistakes you have made; just try to learn from them and if someone dislikes you or doesn't want anything to do with you don't waste any time worrying about it . Just keep living because there are millions of other people you haven't met yet and some of them will like you.
I agree with your statement that it would be better for this guy to work it out himself. It is also much safer as well for him. People are not nice generally; it's because they are afraid to be or don't want to be. Not being nice to others is a defense mechanism that people use to create a psudo strong image of themselves to portray to others. This protects them from possibly being taken advantage of or being hurt again by falsely making themselves into an image they hope people will be cautious of . Personally I would rather trust first and lose a little sometimes to those that take advantage. Then I'll really know they aren't trustworthy rather than thinking it first about people.
