George I won't even start on you ....You have enough already LMAO. (But it would have been a good COSTUME for you LMAO) . Tom and Robin good to see you on the thread again , though we had lost you both can't wait to see you all again and party. I heard there is going to be some big surprises at this party. I'm getting scared . Sherry you have to protect me LOL. OH I forgot I'm with the safety team . 3 more nights .

Posted: 10/30/2008 5:01:32 AM | I want to share something with you kind Indiana folk about the POF events and the leadership of generous and giving people that organize these events for you. This includes your host Imnotgoing and many others who put considerable effort into organizing these events. I can only speak of those I know but this thank you is extended to and includes anyone who volunteers to help or to lead with POF events.
These POF events are a not for profit. There is no compensation for the time spent preplanning, organizing, preparing, contacting event facilities, meetings with facility management, pre event meetings, security issues, phone calls and then executing and delivering an enjoyable POF event. They do this for you.
The fabulous leadership of this event and others has gone above and beyond the call of duty with POF events. I personally can testify to this. I have hosted 3 POF events in Illinois. I am 1.5 hours away from Indianapolis. When I first began considering putting an event together I contacted the Indianapolis ladies hosting events for assistance.
I was amazed how excited, eager and helpful they were to get me going and start an event here. They didn’t have to help me at all but they did. Including traveling here to be at our first event, the following two events and help us with organization, leadership and the mingling activities. Not to mention adding lots of fun, happy, positive energy to the party and guests. They personally met with every person at the event walking through the door. You can tell a lot about who a person is by how they give unconditionally to a stranger when no one is looking. I am glad they gave to me a stranger in the middle of nowhere far away from Indianapolis.
Thank you Imnotgoing for putting this event together. Thank you Lizzy (she found Mike, I miss you two), Mike too, Crazygirl, Beekeeper. A big thank you to Leotta who is simply all that and more. She has been at every event in Illinois and has so much energy for a 29 year old girl! ( ;
At times and on occasion volunteer work can be a thankless job. Lol. But still it is well worth doing. Please take a second at the event to personally thank the host and cohosts and let them know your appreciation for what they do.
Two more days till the POF partaaaaay! I am the event photographer and will be taking pictures through out the evening to post online. Please let me know if you want individual, group or couple pictures. I am happy to accommodate and can even email you the photos FREE if you like. If you don’t smile or laugh I will have to take the dang picture over so chin up, eyes open, smile and say CHEEEEEEESSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE!

Thank you, Imnotgoing, for attending our BBL event and we hope that more Indy folks will join us in the future. It's all about having fun!! On a side note, I love Kings Island and Roller coasters. When it's a little warmer perhaps. Have you had an event there yet? If you do let me know and you can count me in! Regardless, I will have to make a trip over to one of your events.

Posted: 10/30/2008 6:44:20 AM | Oh yea, Countrytat had a King's Island event in August. Unfortunately, POF has changed their rules effective 10/1 regarding event cover charges. I'm sure it wouldn't be approved (Tom and George tried the Renaissance Festival at $16.99 per person and POF wouldn't approve it).
