Only 17% of American (USA) women like giving oral sex?
This doesn't suprise me at all for several reasons:
1) People are naturally selfish. If we cared more about others than ourselves we'd be extinct by now. BJs are an unselfish act. It is an act of giving pleasure, not receiving it.
2) I'd venture 60% of American men have poor hygene and grooming habits down there. Just cause the tip sticks out of the jungle doesn't mean she'll be comfortable wondering what's rustling in the bushes.
3) Most women, dare I say ALL women, think we are dogs. You don't see dogs needing BJs to enjoy sex do you? Nope, they just hop on and are so happy to be doing their business. So most women see their effort in sex concluded when they strip naked and present the goods at an accessible angle.
4) Men have a bad habit of putting their hand(s) on the back of a woman's head when she doesn't go down far enough. While there's a good reason there's no classic porn titled 'Shallow Throat', it is still a potentially rude action you and your partner should discuss before hand...or mouth as the case may be. | |

Posted: 1/17/2009 1:43:00 PM | It's a shame that more women don't enjoy giving it, but for some women, I think they think it's gross or dirty, degrading, or whatever. Personally, my jaw can start to cramp up after a while and I need "little breaks" sometimes, however....
There is nothing better then watching a guy writhe and wriggle underneath your mouth. I LOVE that. If more women would only realize the amount of power this type of sexual act gives them and how much fun it can be to make a man melt into jello once you start going down on him... I love the reaction I get out of it. I think that's why so many men enjoy going down on us.
I think some women have gotten two many negative messages about oral sex growing up, or they don't enjoy it because they don't practice it enough to improve technique so that it doesn't feel like a chore to them. (or they were "forced" to do it if they were raped, molested, etc, so that's the reason they don't like it)
Maybe some women are turned off by the smell, a man's pubic hair, whatever. Which again, is a shame, because if you can get past some of your hangups about it, and find positions where it's more comfortable for your jaw, it is amazingly fun, to watch a guy squirm under your mouth alone.

Just to mention two possible reasons for validity:
Sex, is mentioned as one of the most three common problems for divorce as stated in several sources.
Male Americans are mostly 'cut' with the embraced mentality of 'self-cleaning' as stated in several threads. | |

We took a survey........all 13 women give head and swallow.
of the 13 - 2 stated they always gave head but only swallowed with their husbands
- 3 stated they always give head ...but will not swallow a one night stand or FB
(still give head to completion...but just become painters instead!)
- 1 stated she only swallowed because her husband liked it
- the other 7 stated they almost always swallow no matter the partner
12 of the 13 stated they didn't "just give" oral........they liked/loved to give oral.....
with the feelings of power and control of giving your partner the ultimate pleasure being the reason for loving it.
the 1.......and only 1 woman......said it really didn't do alot for her.....but she did her best she could because her husband really enjoys receieving it.....and it benefitted her to do it!
(which of course turned into a lesson on how to give head!!)

Neither one of us are selfish. We are both very giving of the other, not only sexually, but emotionally and mentally. | |

I'd love to know how they conduct these studies and where. I mean some of these things are just stupid.
I have known more women when I was younger that were not as into giving oral. I would say that was more due to their own inexperience and / or lack of willingness to try new things.
These days, being with women in the 35 - 45 range, I don't seem to run into that. Most women have also told me they enjoy it and that giving oral (not just receiving it) actually gets them hornier. One even mentioned to me that it lets her feel how hard it's going to be in her which also added to her excitement and anticipation. I could relate to that because I get excited from giving oral to a woman also, even if it's just me going down on her.
Many women get very worked-up from giving oral.
