How many women were surveyed? What was the target age group? geography? religion? race? and so forth.
Remember, You can always skew numbers depending on who you ask and how you ask the question.
Oh, let's not forget that people can come up with statistics to prove anything. 14% of people know that. | |

OT : I believe that most women/girls would engage in oral sex if they were given the opportunity to experience it without the pressure.
I've always felt excited about doing so I never took issue with it (although I will never go down on a man who isn't clean) but I know of some friends who had very negative experiences with inconsiderate men at the healm and man oh man, it's not a wonder they never want to do it again.

First hygiene is crucial. If a man has not showered recently, the odors in his pubic hair alone would disuade me from wanting to give him oral pleasure.
Second some men think oral sex is all about their control. WRONG. This is a real turn off when I have a man want to hold my head and thrust in my mouth controlling the action. This is a power play is repulsive and constitutes a man fvcking a woman in the face. This is not a loving act, but and act of domination and I want no part of it.
Third for oral sex to be a pleasure for me it has to be with a man that I trust to allow me to pleasure him and for me to be in control of that pleasure. To me oral sex is a gift of love and I will only engage in oral sex with a man that I have strong emotional ties to.
My life experience with oral included one or two power hungry men in my early twenties, real turn off, then my husband, where it was a gift, a long term relationship after my husbands death, also a gift and my current boyfriend/ lover.
I must say that in my current relationship the oral sex is the best it has been in my life.
I love to go down on him and pleasure him in this way. I have more enthusiasm now than ever in my life. It is a barometer of the relationship as a whole, and my level of self confidence and high libido.
I can say without reservation the appreciation I receive for this gift to him makes me want to pleasure him this way all the more.
If your lady does not enjoy giving you head, think about the role that you are playing in the process. Do you let her control the action. Do you praise her and thank her for the gift. Do you genuinely care for her, because the stronger the emotional bond, the better the head. | |

...this is certainly not universal for all women.
I do agree that head comes in two varieties...control for the woman (look at who I can make you squirm...look at how I can drive you crazy) and submission by the woman.
But, believe it or not, some women prefer the latter.
Of the four women I cited in my previous post, two of them absolutely preferred to be in a "submissive" role, and the other was something of a "switch"...sometimes she liked to drive, other times she didn't. Only one really did seem to prefer to drive...at least at first...but I can also tell you that there was an occasion when things got... interesting... and I ended up doing the driving. She orgasmed. I don't mean just mean that have been scratched or bit, but men that include hygienic, religious, or reasons of that nature.
I remember reading a man say on one of these threads that he thought less of the woman if she did it. That he wanted to go out with a lady and thought it was unlady like.
You do learn from these threads. Seems most men don't consider getting a bj as part of foreplay but expect to cum if given it. At least that is what it seems like from reading these threads. I never met a guy like that. | |

All I can say is that I think you're threshhold poll might have produced different responses had you just done them first, gauged their responses, and then, and only then, asked your polling question as a follow-up. Your guys probably felt that they were interviewing for a "position", and must have picked up on some inflection or body language seemingly (subtle pun, low and away, just catching the corner of the plate, lol) favoring the aberrant responses you got.

One wasn't circumcised and preferred minimal foreplay altogether.
And the other one that didn't was totally missionary style. He was really sort of by the book how men and women roles are.
I have read on the threads quite a few men that aren't into oral. Check the thread on will men date me if I can't or something like that, don't feel like looking it up. Some men think it is degrading to women, some men don't like the feel, some men don't want teeth near there, etc. Those are some of the reasons from the thread I remember.
There is also a thread on women that don't care for oral - receiving.
If only 17% of women enjoy giving it, seems like there are quite a few men that don't really give a fart about it. Society pushes things on people imo. Not lately, but this past year it seemed like males were pushing anal. Maybe I shouldn't say not lately because I try to stay in tune with what is happening with kids and sex and they are still showing that they don't understand they can get STD's this way and via oral with or without using condoms. Actually the last anal thread I think I read was men receiving. There are different people with different likes and dislikes. I've worked with people who did certain aspects of their job poorly on purpose, so that the boss wouldn't ask them to that job. I can see women making a BJ as unpleasant for their man as they can get by with without being obvious, so that they never have to do it again. So (Putting aside backwards religious zealots and others who associate oral sex with moral vacancy.), saying there are a lot of men who don't like BJ's is not exactly accurate. Those men most likely don't like (or assign much value to) oral sex because of the level of quality they have experienced. Or the lack of ever having had one at all. Poor **stards. 
Check out other threads, on this thread are men who are saying they dig it. But on another thread there are just as many if not more that can pass imo. Men standing around talking to each other aren't going to say they don't dig it, peer pressure. 75% of the men I knew/know don't dig it. Gonorrhea and Oral Sex
