Posted: 10/8/2008 2:04:04 PM | | I know i haven't been on here much lately, i have a group of riders around town that is a whole lot of fun but for those around the Dayton Area there is an event going on this sunday the AMA Hill Climbs. it is just south of Dayton near Orgonia right out of Waynesville. There is a group of us meeting for breakfast and riding down it is supposed to be a great time. Yes i have every intention of making this trip on the 18th i am looking forward to seeing all my old friends yet again. See you all soon. | |

I've made every ride this year with the gang (lucky me) and I think the shortest was like 6 hours, off and on depending on the stops...but doesn't matter it's still well worth it...hope to see ya on a ride next spring...tina..we all just click so well together. | |

Posted: 10/9/2008 5:54:17 AM | We do shorter rides than this.......most are 6-7hrs on average.....but this being the last group ride of the season....it's a doozie.....and not for ones with a tender backside!!! LOL I'm anticipating being saddlesore the next day myself!!!
Jim and I have been working out the details of the route. We are going to wing it as far as stops. With a big group like we anticipate for this ride....not sure how often we will need to stop along the route. We plan to stop at The Marrietta Brewing Company for a late lunch. If we follow the route as planned....we should be there around 3:30-4pm. Here is a link if you want to check it out:

I plan to contact Jack's and the brewery to give them a heads up that we will be coming. I will need a headcount of everyone riding so I can let them know how many to expect. If you plan to attend and are not on one of the lists.....you need to email me. I will be taking my count from the lists NOT the signup. I don't want to call ahead with a count and then have 20-30 extra people show up that we didn't anticipate. There are still several of you that have not contacted me.......I need to hear from you. I will take the count on Thursday of next week.....so mail me before then please.

Posted: 10/9/2008 7:29:48 AM | not to put a damper on things but a great guy i met at the rodeo from BON was in an accident earlier this week. peterbuilt and slowpoke hit a bear from what I have heard and need our prayers. peterbuilt was taken off life support and its not looking good.
