Well, you all just proved my point, rather b golfing basically said that any team" good "or bad cannot win without a good qb .That was my point in my original argument, that the pats losing Tom Brady wasnt the only reason the pats are losing and are going to keep losing this year but rather b basically said that the Pats losing is "all" over losing Tom Brady.

The giants aren't supposed to be the best team in New York

Are you kidding me RatherB ?? Who was actually stupid enough to say the giants will fall. I've heard and seen nothing but positive things said about this team

"rather b golfing basically said thatany team" good "or bad cannot win without a good qb"

Excuse me? Where did I say, or imply, anything of the sort? NOWHERE. Any team can win with a bad QB, if the team is not built around the offence. The Giants and Bears come immediately to mind in that regard. But when you talk about the Patriots, they are all about the offence. The Pats cannot win without Brady because their philosophy is an offence-oriented one. Doesn't take John Madden to figure that one out

Dick .... once again shut up, you're an idiot. Have you watched the Bills lately? They've come back from behind from Oakland AND St. Louis. They are coasting on an easy schedule.

Jacksonville's MVP is Scobee ... who is there kicker ... a 2-2 record who were favs for the division. OVERATED!

If you actually watched the Giants / Bengals game last week and know anything about how defensive plays work, you would have noticed that Carson Palmer was eating up the Giants blitzing and almost won the game.

The Giants won in overrtime!!

God you're such an idiot. Watch football, undertand how the game is played, then come back and start being a**** Dick

wonder how many of them picked the giants to beat the pats last year in the superbowl, my guess not many, anyway the point is even the so called experts are wrong very often. anyway just because you write about sports dont mean you have a clue what you are talking about, just my opinion.

They have a stacked team .... a solid running game, They have 1 of the top 5, QB's in the league .... they won the superbowl ... what are they predicting injuries?

They should be playing better then they are. Washington and Cincinatti weren't very convincing wins.

Well it's true you can win with an "ok" QB if you have a solid defense, the 2000 Ravens were a prime example of that, but there is no way you can get to the playoffs let alone the superbowl and win it with a bad QB. You can have the best D in NFL history, but If you have a QB throwing lots of INT's and incomplete passes your team is screwed, because your D is going to get so worn out trying to play defense all the time.

I agree to an extent but the fact is the pats lost players on defense to injury and free agency .And what remains are washed up has beens who are getting slower and in my opinion if Tom Brady is so great like most people say he is then 1.That proves that the pats and the rest of thier offense was way overated based on thier recent performance after the Brady injury,or 2.Maybe he isnt really that great and even if he were healthy the pats wouldnt be faring "much" better.I personally think its going to be what happened to the pats in 85.They lost the Super bowl just like they did this year and the players like Randy Moss will jump ship for a playoff contender, result=Bottomfeeder and one of the trult most overated teams going into "this" season and possibly of all time. Go Bears!!!!

I think Brady's injury all but proves that he is the best QB in the NFL. Eventhough the Pats lost a few key defensive players they still had practically the same offense they had last year. Brady definitely earns his paychecks when you see how he had that elite offense perform compared to how it is without him.

And the most underrated team is still my Redskins. Spotting the Eagles a 14-0 lead then scoring 23 unanswered points was impressive. Rushing for over 200 yards against the NFL's best rush defense was pretty impressive too. As was holding the Eagles without a first down for 28 minutes. As was winning their second-straight NFC East road game. As was the gutsy-as-hell decision by Zorn to go for it on 4th and 1 at the Eagle 40 with 2:53 left. As was Jason Campbell's calm demeanor. As is the fact the Redskins remain the only team in the NFL who have not committed an offensive turnover. Haters and sleepers beware: the Redskins ARE FOR REAL!!!!!!!

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS
HAIL TO VICTORY
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS
AND HAIL TO OLD DC!!!!!!

Chargers right now would have to be one of the most overrated after the Fish stuck it to them. Going down 0-15 lat week to the mixed-up Raiders and this week this. Go Dolphins.

Apparently Bills starting qb just got carted off on a stretcher down in Arizona in the opening minutes.. Bills opposition so far has a record of 2-10 excluding todays game, so even though I picked them before the season to make the playoffs, I'd say right now they're a bit over-rated.

Yeah, we have to play the Giants again. And? We played them fairly well the first time and we were awful offensively. We've improved 200% and get them at home. Not a bit worried about them.

One score of 7 points is fairly well to you?

Giant Defense has only allowed 49 points against the Giants in 4 games!

Best in the NFC and after today it could be the best in the NFL

Don't get too carried away; you still have to play Dallas twice, us at home and Philly twice. We played fairly well defensively. On offense we were anemic but we're not even remotely the same team offensively. We'll handle them at Fed Ex. I have no doubt.

I don't know about overrated/underrated. It's a whole band-wagon thing, to be honest. Teams in the media, are measured by their freshest winnings.

I'd say the most overrated team, If I had to chose, would be Miami at the moment.
Two weeks ago when they were 0-2, everyone was "Same old, Same old" then they go out and beat the patriots and then come out this week and trump San Diego. Now critics are saying "Miami is for real this season!" because they beat two 'supposed' elite NFL elite teams.

Historically, even when Miami is sucking - they always (in general) gave the Patriots a good game. It seems Miami always dishes out a loss to Patriots once in a season. San Diego has looked flattish the whole season, they may still make the play-offs, but they're no super elite team this year (so far).

Yet Washington as has beaten some really good NFC teams the past few weeks and people are still differing to miami over them. That's kind of foolish, IMO. Once Miami faces a team with a dynamic run defense, they'll lose again.

Personally, I'm a Bears fan, for the record. of all the teams that are hyped, overrated, and bandwagoned, I think the Bears are given the perfect amount of credit for their exploits this season - Which is a "hmm ok".

I'd pick the bears to be underrated, because from their off-the-field decisions and their pre-season performance, I expected my Bears to win maybe one game. They've won three! so triple my expectations!

^^^Good points about the Dolphins. Me I'm just happy they took down two of the supposed AFC heavyweights. I don't think they're for real yet, but it's nice to have something to cheer about for the first time in a long while. But I'm still leary of putting them on any of my tickets. They'll probably only go as far as their two running backs will carry them and neither of them have great records when it comes to their health.

But there is a lot of rumour-type talk on a number of the Dolphins forums about maybe getting before the upcoming trade deadline Williams from the Lions as a deep threat. If pennington can get it there, it could give them an added dimension on offence.

I can't help but think though that this is Ronnie Brown's year in his mind to do something to silence his critics. The guy spent the previous season's off-season locked away in his house studying ladyTomlinson video. Yesterday's 100 yard game against SD probably meant a lot more to him than anyone else on the squad.

How lucky are the Colts right from not being 1-3? The Texans have no one to blame, but their QB for losing that game. The Colts were up 10-0 at one point and then allowed the Texans score 27 unanswerd points to all but lose it in the late 4th with 3 dumb plays that led to 2 fumbles and an INT.

The most overrated team is the Chargers. They have the hot shot running back and the loud mouth QB and can't string a pair of victories together following a season that saw them in the AFC Cahmpionship.
Sand Diego, Indianapolis and New England are perrenial playoff teams who aren't doing as well as they normally do in the beginning of the season.
