| Bden Palin Debate? Can you believe? Posted: 11/17/2008 10:42:04 AM | Thank you, Sandee. Yeah, let Sarah return to her quiet (?!?) life in… in… now where was that place? Wasn’t it a stone’s throw from Russia or something like that? (And Johnny can return to any one of his 7 or 8 homes.) | |

| Bden Palin Debate? Can you believe? Posted: 11/17/2008 6:09:38 PM | I find it interesting that this thread can be kept alive with participants joining in only to complain about it continuing. No Sandee, political debate never ends. Fun can be found tweaking the sensitive. I think my pie crusts are ready to roll out so I will be back later. The office said us engineers are to bring vegetables. Isn't cherry pie a vegetable? My tart cherry almond is an award winning classic but don't worry, I'll be back to tweak your sensitivities later. | |

| Bden Palin Debate? Can you believe? Posted: 11/22/2008 9:08:20 AM | Regarding Palin ~ you may bring forward all the past history you want ~
it does not stop Palin from being a junior high english student in a sophomore college Lit class.
if you enjoy packageing ~ she's a great package and would fit in well in many situations that I both know and love.
but for even low levels of government ~~ she's a streech to consider ~ and that McCain much less 49 % of the voting public thought otherwise
tell me just how close to insane this nation is today.
Any benifit of doubt I had about you ~ is now gone and from this day forward I shall be ever mindful I live in a world full of uninformed, less the enlightened people and plan to take full advantage ~ for you are truly clueless as to whats good for you much less the Nation which I must share with you.
I sent Governor Palin e-mail and thanked her for the great effort and told her I never questioned her sincerity or loyality but I could not in all good conscience support her bid for the White House. I wished both her and her family well.
and yes! it over ~~~~ for now ~~ but this is just the beginning!
GOP supporters are mad ~ whinning and a flopping ~ they hate Windfrey ~ they hate the electoral college! ~ they just hate!! hate ! ~~
I was listen to a dear friend of 30 plus years rant on ~ about it all ~ just yesterday
in attempt to vist with her on some level ~ I found that she didn't even know who Karl Rove was ~ never heard of him and Paul Wolfwitz ~~ never heard of him either.
And she was a high school teacher in her day ~ now she's queen of the Ranch House, lords over 300 acres of mineral rights and gas wells, 45 head of long horns, 2 goats , 30 chickens , 2 mules, 4 donkeys ~ 8 horses., 5 dogs and 4 cats ~ so you sure can't call her dumb ~ I call her a blessed friend ~ uninformed as she maybe.

| Bden Palin Debate? Can you believe? Posted: 11/22/2008 6:09:26 PM | In response to the yellow dog democrat's anecdotal comments, here is some actual data on knowledge about the candidates:
Zogby International Released: November 18, 2008 Zogby Poll: Almost No Obama Voters Ace Election Test
Survey finds most Obama voters remembered negative coverage of McCain/Palin statements but struggled to correctly answer questions about coverage associated with Obama/Biden
UTICA, New York -- Just 2% of voters who supported Barack Obama on Election Day obtained perfect or near-perfect scores on a post election test which gauged their knowledge of statements and scandals associated with the presidential tickets during the campaign, a new Zogby International telephone poll shows.
Zogby Statement on Ziegler poll:
Only 54% of Obama voters were able to answer at least half or more of the questions correctly.
The 12-question, multiple-choice survey found questions regarding statements linked to Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his vice-presidential running-mate Sarah Palin were far more likely to be answered correctly by Obama voters than questions about statements associated with Obama and Vice-President–Elect Joe Biden. The telephone survey of 512 Obama voters nationwide was conducted Nov. 13-15, 2008, and carries a margin of error of +/- 4.4 percentage points.
The survey was commissioned by John Ziegler, author of The Death of Free Speech, producer of the recently released film "Blocking the Path to 9/11" and producer of the upcoming documentary film, Media Malpractice...How Obama Got Elected.
"We stand by the results our survey work on behalf of John Ziegler, as we stand by all of our work. We reject the notion that this was a push poll because it very simply wasn't. It was a legitimate effort to test the knowledge of voters who cast ballots for Barack Obama in the Nov. 4 election. Push polls are a malicious effort to sway public opinion one way or the other, while message and knowledge testing is quite another effort of public opinion research that is legitimate inquiry and has value in the public square. In this case, the respondents were given a full range of responses and were not pressured or influenced to respond in one way or another. This poll was not designed to hurt anyone, which is obvious as it was conducted after the election. The client is free to draw his own conclusions about the research, as are bloggers and other members of society. But Zogby International is a neutral party in this matter. We were hired to test public opinion on a particular subject and with no ax to grind, that's exactly what we did. We don't have to agree or disagree with the questions, we simply ask them and provide the client with a fair and accurate set of data reflecting public opinion." - John Zogby
"After I interviewed Obama voters on Election Day for my documentary, I had a pretty low opinion of what most of them had picked up from the media coverage of the campaign, but this poll really proves beyond any doubt the stunning level of malpractice on the part of the media in not educating the Obama portion of the voting populace," said Ziegler.
Ninety-four percent of Obama voters correctly identified Palin as the candidate with a pregnant teenage daughter, 86% correctly identified Palin as the candidate associated with a $150,000 wardrobe purchased by her political party, and 81% chose McCain as the candidate who was unable to identify the number of houses he owned. When asked which candidate said they could "see Russia from their house," 87% chose Palin, although the quote actually is attributed to Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey during her portrayal of Palin during the campaign. An answer of "none" or "Palin" was counted as a correct answer on the test, given that the statement was associated with a characterization of Palin.
Obama voters did not fare nearly as well overall when asked to answer questions about statements or stories associated with Obama or Biden -- 83% failed to correctly answer that Obama had won his first election by getting all of his opponents removed from the ballot, and 88% did not correctly associate Obama with his statement that his energy policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry. Most (56%) were also not able to correctly answer that Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground.
Nearly three quarters (72%) of Obama voters did not correctly identify Biden as the candidate who had to quit a previous campaign for President because he was found to have plagiarized a speech, and nearly half (47%) did not know that Biden was the one who predicted Obama would be tested by a generated international crisis during his first six months as President.
In addition to questions regarding statements and scandals associated with the campaigns, the 12-question, multiple-choice survey also included a question asking which political party controlled both houses of Congress leading up to the election -- 57% of Obama voters were unable to correctly answer that Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate.

If you want to believe all of that ~ be my guest ~ I'm sure there plenty more where it came from.
It was McCain election to lose! ~
He'd needed only to offer the American people a package , they were willing to buy ~
He could has held the GOP hostage and been the true Mavrick that he claimed to be !
He could have told Karl Rove and Davis to go jump in the river! He was going to do it his way!
As is was ~ he was a maverick on a short GOP lease. It was his to lose ~ and he did lose it. It took a temendious effort to over come the power of the GOP.
That the DNC did ~was is in no way an accident ~ but a lot of hard work, it was neither easy or fair but an up hill fight all the way. No lie or dirty trick left undone or unspoken by the GOP or their supporters
and if by chance ~ this test ~ is on the up and up ~ how did GOP members fair ~ shall that information be forth coming? ~ that is not offered ~ I question the whole process. ~ but I'd think that would be most reasonable thing to ask ~ even for a half witt?

It was McCain election to lose! ~ With Bush's popularity in the toilet, pretty much all the pundits disagreed with you. The last similar time was when Carter was elected with virtually all the same promises and problems. Inflation and unemployment went to double digits. One of the Carter programs was the Community Reinvestment Act that was reinforced by Clinton and used by Obama before taking office to strong arm banks to make home loans to people unable to pay. Attempts by Bush in 2003 and a group of legislators, including McCain in 2005 attempted to bolster oversight of Fannie and Freddie but Democrats blocked the efforts. That is why those Democrats and Obama received the top campaign money from the former Clinton aids, who ran Freddie and Fannie. The messiah mystique for many Obama supporters and the yellow dog democrats who will hear no evil, Obama was a shoe in. To these people, truth is blasphemy, the ultimate "dirty trick". Now Obama is supporting billions in corporate welfare for the UAW wrecked American auto companies.

Yea ~ I didn't aprove of the first 7.5 billion ~ and Detroit needs to take a power as well. ~ I suppose you can blame that on who you wish ~ whatever fans your fire.
and this corporate welfare as you call it ~ I call it ~ not letting capitalism do it's job and iresponible people not taking their lumps. and the same with AIG and the Wall Street bunch ~ but seem the we are being held hostage ~and feel compelled to pay up less some one lose their money with their risk taking, ~ the real question is ~ by whom.? ~ where did the money go ~ or was it never there ? but projected gains that failed to materalize?
I suppose thats some of Obama doing as well?
and to say Obama was a shoe in ~ is laughable ~ and I suppose the statement offeres some comfort in failure. The GOP never had a chance!
Bushs' approval rating did not help for sure ~ but Americans are dumb as a sack of hammers ~ His approval rating should have been lower ~ 5 or 6 years ago. ~ Whats happen today ~ didn't start today. ~ so that just explain the attitude and guliable nature of Americans. ~ They will believe whatever they are told ~ Mc Cain didn't tell them anything! ~ His dream team didn't think he had too! ~ It wasn't until the final last two weeks McCain got on message and started acting like someone that had a package to sell. ~ It 's was always 4th and long or supprises and drama ~ dog and pony show with character attacks filling in the gaps of dead air. ~ They cowboyed their campaign like Bush ran the country of 8 years ~~ they did what they wanted to do ~ and ingored what needed to be done. And still this the vote was close! Too close! ~ So that says little ~ for half of us ~ and I'm still not happy about that and in no way rest easy about it.

I suppose thats some of Obama doing as well? And just what do you think he did as a "community activist"? He used the Community Reinvestment Act from the Carter years with new powers from the Clinton years to sue mortgage companies to make loans to unreliable borrowers. You likely would not read blasphemous information but you could dig into Obama's work for ACORN, and the Woods foundation. When doing your research, I would suggest you be careful of where the "facts" come from. The Annenberg foundation that has funded a lot of Obama's early political career along with William Ayers, also spent millions to create factcheck.org, a supposedly unbiased source of Pravda. Americans aren't so dumb as they are easily misled, or at least 52% were. Was Bush so brilliant that he could mislead even the top Democrats or is he as dumb as so many Democrats claim and they were wrong too.

| Bden Palin Debate? Can you believe? Posted: 11/23/2008 6:34:42 PM | to one person it's salemanship to another it's extortion
I look for motive and reasons for you statement ~ what do you attenmpt to gain and what do you fear to lose. I take it ~ you are a supporter of a failed adminstration and a supporter for a failed bid for the first chair?
I don't question Obamas' or Clintons' skill fullness ~ I trust like " whitewater " you got jack! But wish to offer doubt and question , offering drag and resistance in anyway possible that might serve your affilation and their agenda.
We know you well, ~ and where is Kenneth Star? where is Newt and his new bride? Newt actually thought ~ his name might be in the hat ~ for all his fine hatchett work.
and where is Bill today? and his lovly bride ~~ with all that evil doing they've been involved in over the years and all the tax payer money spent attempting to dig something up ~ all we've found was a pant of dirty drawers. So why should I decide to believe you now? ~ Give me a reason to chase down this ghost that you can't bring to me but only suggest it's presence.
And Bush did little but his adminstration did much , much that will be hard to undo. We are hurt! ~ fight wars with national guard units ~ I like the idea of bridges to no where ~ it make nowhere, somewhere. But wars to nowhere eludge all logic.

| Bden Palin Debate? Can you believe? Posted: 11/23/2008 7:17:18 PM | Like a typical Democrat, you make assumptions without checking the facts. I am not and never have been a Bush supporter but I am not a bone headed idiot who can only see all wrong or all right based on some identity. I am certainly not swayed by charisma nor censored by political correctness. The Bush admin decisions are completely understandable even if I do not agree with them. I have not found Bush to be dishonest nor intelligent enough to pull off the deceptions the Democrats accuse him of. He certainly has a poor record of picking competent bureaucrats. Obama on the other hand is sharp and ambitious. He would and has sold out anyone or partner with anyone for political gain. So how does this color my politics? Pretty much Libertarian but not ignorant of the threats freedom faces. Power corrupts and attracts corruption. Just because we feel we have a good leader now, we cannot count on that in the future. We should therefor limit government power. Obama promises even more government power.
And then we have the Obama worshiper asking that the true believers not listen to blasphemy.
