^^^^^^^^^^^ and lashings of gravy mmmmmmmmmm

Something more tropical maybe, it's like Hawaii in here!

I've got all my windows and the front door wide open..........Yeahhhhhhhhh lets make an enormous carbon footprint! Fossil fuels are old and probably long past their sell by date anyway.

It's amazing, last saturday was so warm....I was out in London in just a thin dress and felt warm, Sunday last, was out painting the fence in shorts and small t-shirt got an extra top up to my tan.....

But this week have had the heating on every night for a few hours on low, just to take the chill out of the air...

Yep...........winter draw(er)s on....................

I know nothing about storage heaters Flower, sorry. However, a heating engineer informs me that it's cheaper to keep your heating on 'constant' (when it's REALLY cold, obviously) than to have it on a timer because then the boiler doesnt have to work as hard to reach the set temp, it just has to maintain it.

Yep, I am down on the south coast & my heating has been on for the last 2 weeks!!!

Cor, you softies down there don't know what cold is like. I'm sitting here with icicles hanging onto my extremities...... reminds me of a lovely romantic old poem.......

Now gather round all you whorey,
Gather round and hear my story!
When a man grows old, and his balls grow cold,
And the end of his prick turns blue,
And the hole in the middle refuses to piddle,
He can tell you a tale or two.
So pull up a chair, and stand me a drink,
And a tale to you I will tell,
About Dead-Eye D1ck and Mexican Pete,
And a whore named Eskimo Nell.....................

Heating on yet? No way. Am aiming not to do so until at least 01 November.

My son and I are the same - dont feel the cold as much as others do. But my poor daughter - she tells me she's absolutely freezing... I tell her to go put socks on, to layer clothes - ie right now am wearing a t shirt and a long sleeve t shirt and a pair of jog pants, I feel quite comfortable - my view is she should add socks, maybe a jumper and bit naff but maybe a little beanie hat as isnt a large percentage of body heat lost via the head?

I think am fairly lucky really though - live in a terrace house with full-on insulated loft and double glazing on all windows. It really seems cosy sometimes and when the heating does go on I feel I cannot breathe, my son says the same.

I'm sam as Lorri49, up here in Scotland. Heating has been on timer for past week, coming on for 2 hrs in morning & 4 hrs in evening. Although yesterday, had it on during day also.
Sunny this morning & as my sitting room is south facing, its quite warm without the heating on.

AitchEm, my flat is all electric with night storage heaters supposedly on the economy 7 tariff.Though by the size of my leccy bills you would think i was running Battersea Power Station!

I hate economy 7 it should be abolished!!!!

I put my heating on last night, only in the bathroom as I have loads of washing to get dry for school tomorrow and it wasn't going to dry otherwise. I now enjoy my little trips to the toilet as it is so cosy in there lol.

It is wet and miserable outside today as predicted and I really want to go into town and buy some new slippers, but I don't want to get out of bed. I might just stay here all day :)

Msg 44, I'm allowed to call southerners 'Southern Softies' because I am a southerner!

I may live in theMidlands now but once a southerner, always a southerner.
