Plus I got this really great spiked wig. The one that came with the costume was really high and just too dang hot!!! It's going to be great.

I need to figure out the hair though... the Magenta wigs blow, and my hair is too dark to make look a natural red.
I also need plans. We're trying to find something that's actually fun and doesn't include going to a bar full of half-naked morons vying for Sexiest Dumbass.

Posted: 10/22/2008 12:01:50 PM | A few days ago my little boy, age seven and my eight year old twin girls were having a conversation about trick or treating and costumes ~ they are very excited! Finally one of them said "Mom what are you going to be this year?" I replied, "oh, a chubby old lady, I guess." They exchanged glances and finally Liz said "but Mom that's what you went as last year!" She's right ~ I did!!!

| What's your Halloween costume this year? Posted: 10/22/2008 2:46:41 PM | | I'm dressing as my stage persona; a magician/mentalist/mystic....cape, tux, wand, etc. I'll be: levitating things, producing spirits, reading minds, hypnotizing people, and so forth, at the party I'll attend. I will: light candles with a touch of an ice cube, bend spoons with the power of my mind, and cause a table to float around the room in mid air. Even the people who are not half drunk will be amazed. | |

| What's your Halloween costume this year? Posted: 10/23/2008 1:00:46 AM | Well, seeing that half of earths population will be dressing up as Heath Ledger's Joker, I think I'll stray into something more original.
I was considering PVC Knights with some buddies of mine...
you know, giant PVC pipe tubing as body armor complete with narrow long PVC pipe pikes and spears and swords.
Or I was thinking of the Surrogate band impersonator of Roger Waters from The Wall. A friend of mine promised me the bass guitar, the same bass that roger uses....I've had trouble finding the trench coat and mask....and I haven't had time to look that well.
Or...I had the crazy idea of doing some campaigning....my friend as Obama, his g/f as Palin, myself as McCain and a buddy of mine as Biden. And us having a whole script planned out, so every speech would be different so it didn't become boring, entirely comical and well balanced of course.
But it didn't pan out.
I don't think I'll have time for Halloween....prolly just stay home and watch a scary movie.

| What's your Halloween costume this year? Posted: 10/24/2008 3:03:56 PM | | I was thinking about being a party referee. It might look lame, but there are perks. Like when someone spills a beer I can throw a flag at them and call a "party foul". Also, when someone gets out of hand I can pull the red card and toss them out. What do you think? Anyone have any other ideas? | |

| What's your Halloween costume this year? Posted: 10/27/2008 6:46:03 PM | Still going as a vampire. Scrapped the ankle length dress since it sucks big time and I don't trust it to not fall off of me Going, instead, in a black spaghetti strap formal dress. Black ballerina flats. Get my hair done up. Dark, gothic make up. Ruby red lips. Custom made fangs. Dark nail polish. Will look good, I hope. Just trying to decide if I should try to cover up the tattoos on my chest or leave them. Paw prints are not exactly vampire material lol
Never was too creative.

| What's your Halloween costume this year? Posted: 10/28/2008 12:11:32 PM | If I dress up this year, I'll go as a teapot -- I have the Mrs. Potts costume from Beauty and the Beast.
After seeing the movie Mamma Mia! I thought it would be fun to get a couple friends together and go as the Meryl Streep and her cronies in their dancing clothes.
One year I went to a party dressed as an eviction notice. The hosts lived in an area that was being sued by an Indian tribe, and the law firm I work for was representing the Indians who were trying to reclaim some land. I took a pair of white sweats and used a Sharpie to make myself into a Notice of Eviction issued by the Sheriff's Office.
