some variants of these were mentioned:

quick bbq sauces and/or marinades:
apricot jam/dijon mustard with a tablespoon of the chili sauce...(chicken/pork/beef)
white wine/dijon mustard/olive oil/minced garlic & cilantro (chicken, pork, lamb/fish)
zesty italian dressing/tablespoon chili sauce (chicken, beef, pork)
low sodium soy/minced garlic & ginger (great for shark or tuna steaks)
apricot jam or honey mixed w/dijon mustard, white wine to thin (chicken/pork/beef)
olive oil/chopped chilis/minced garlic/cilantro (chicken/pork/beef/lamb)
mix the above combos & choice of frozen fowl/meat/fish into zip lock quart size bags -
then put in the fridge till thawed and in doing so, marinate you meat.
(did i say marinate your meat? you betcha i did, and a fine job it does)
you can throw the plastic away without the mess of cleaning it up;
tree huggers can place in any tupperware/rubbermaid/whatever your choice product...

something else to try:

mix horseradish and sour cream to make a silky yummy paste.
try coating lamb in this, mmmm...
its really tasty!

Well I have to add my vote for Frank's, formerly Durkee's Hot Sauce. Not nearly as high in Scoville Units as many other sauces but it has TASTE.

I add it to so many things...tomato soup, eggs, KD....and if you have left over turkey put some on it and it will taste just like very meaty chicken wings..
