| I will never let you leave me... Posted: 10/6/2008 2:32:30 PM | | What will help is a Remington 870 loaded with '00' buck. The last uninvited door pounder to pound on my door got three .22 mags for his trouble. He was a drugged out home invader who thought his GF was with me. She wasn't then, and isn't now. | |

| I will never let you leave me... Posted: 10/6/2008 5:34:20 PM | | I'd find that completely creepy. Who is anyone else to decide what's best for me, and would they really want to be with someone who didn't want to stay with them? | |
|
| I will never let you leave me... Posted: 10/6/2008 6:03:22 PM | So, *maculon*, what did you tell her when you broke it off? Just curious, as it might lend further insight to her odd, violent prone behavior as she WAS actually banging on your door. Was she shouting also?
You might still wanna get that decoy bunny though.

| I will never let you leave me... Posted: 10/6/2008 6:31:19 PM | | She sounds like she may be unbalanced...and should seek professional help....she really may need to get on some kind of med. | |

| I will never let you leave me... Posted: 10/6/2008 7:14:17 PM | | Seriously, watch out for the girl. If she's banging on your door and you just happened to have friends visiting or maybe family, what would THEY think? You look like the kind of guy most women would be happy to walk arm-in-arm with but this gal sounds like she needs her arms restrained and AWAY from you for you mental and physical safety. 5 weeks is nothing to make a statement such as she did. Good luck. | |

You're in trouble. | |

| I will never let you leave me... Posted: 10/6/2008 7:37:22 PM | Hey Greg,
I'll give you the same advice I've given to others in this situation.
1. Contact the police. You don't necessarily need to make a report or press charges, but contacting them WILL put the issue on record somewhere.
2. Tell a few close friends. Always remember that the problem is not yours, it's hers. However, you ARE being dragged into her problem.
3. If you like, hang out with friends more than not for a while. They'll keep you at ease, and her away.
4. Dogs, whistles, anything you have to make noise. People who stalk don't like annoying noises or animals that draw attention to them or break their concentration.
5. If all you gave was a cellphone number, consider getting a new one, but keep the old one, just let the voice mail fill up and delete, fill and delete, etc.
6. No contact at all. You said "no" and unless you are wanting to put yourself through years of this, cut the ties now.
Also, an erstwhile online friend of mine who acts as a decoy on the Perverted Justice show wrote a few articles for this website:

I strongly encourage everyone here to read through the site. ;)

5 weeks long, I ended it. Then the comment came. She did come over uninvited, unannounced and was banging on my door...
Stalkers really suck, it is a hard situation hopefully after 5 weeks there isn't an emotional connection for you. Make sure you do not lead her on or give her the slightest glimmer of any kind of hope, she will get worse. Total avoidance is the key, she will find a new fixation.

| I will never let you leave me... Posted: 10/7/2008 4:04:56 PM | Be careful, she might eat your soul...then you'd never be able to leave her.
In all seriousness though...I have a couple exes that are like this. I simply cut off all ties, and if they tried to contact me again...well I'd call the cops.

| I will never let you leave me... Posted: 10/7/2008 5:09:07 PM | Well I presume she means she is going to kill you if you try - as she "wouldn't let you" maybe it was joke??? | |
