Posted: 10/9/2008 4:42:21 AM | Obviously an event like this is way overdue for Lexington. It is still growing by the day. Fantastic. Help us out, don't burn us out and we'll do it again.
Bob brings up a good point. Check out the other attendees. OK, hopefully I don't need to tell you that. And don't limit your browsing to the opposite sex. Check out your own kind. too. I hope some of you are emailing each other. On the mail settings........
On the mail settings.............I recommend some of you open them up a bit. Do you have it set so only the opposite sex can email you? Perhaps you should drop that requirement. Perhaps the nurses will know each other before they arrive. Motorcyclists may end up on a ride together before Nov 8. Look at your age range. Could it stand to be a bit more open? Look over the other items and think about them. Start introducing yourselves and you'll know each other before we get there. 
Profiles......You're coming to this event, and you only have a 2 line 'about me'? Girls, I'm a bit jealous that your email boxes get stuffed with just a pic of yourself, but I gather the quality is lacking. Could you land a finer fish with a better essay? Guys, is it always about competition? Forget the testicular fortitude, and show them what's between your ears. On your mark, get set, go. 
Location.......It's been there for decades, but doesn't stand out. As you face it, IncrediPet and the Oleika Temple will be to the left. Slones market to the right. Almost across the street is Milward's funeral home.

I almost turned around and left once I got there. But I'm so glad I stayed. I went with a friend and that made it a little easier. So grab a friend in come. If you can't get anyone to come along, come anyway! You won't regret it. | |

but, no one should be scared of an event like this...
Just think everyone there had to make it to thier first event too...
we can all relate on how that feels...
you will never regret it and build your own confidence at the same time...
you will be welcomed by others and made to feel at home no matter what event you choose to make your first... | |

Posted: 10/9/2008 10:47:25 AM | Looks like I am bringing a few guest with me this time. So add a few to the count. I will be bringing at least 2, but possibly 4. And they are all very eligble hot guys in their mid 30s ladies.
Might I also mention its nice to see that we have a larger age range of people coming this time. Last time there was a couple of general age ranges that almost everyone was in. Variety is good to see. Though I think I would like to see a little diversity in ethnicity too.

Once I'm outta my shell then watch out - have been told to shuddup up a time or two! LOL

Posted: 10/9/2008 9:13:14 PM | I've been away for a day, Friend of mine's sister died. But I am very impressed by the amount of interest in this one. Don't worry about the fun, It will be there. If everyone is as nice and easygoing as the last party, this one will go great.
Nick (YODLEDOG) was right. We can all stand to do a little upgrading on our profiles, LOL. I have been trying to keep people updated on mine.
I hope someone remembers to bring a camera, so that we can get some pics up after the party. And maybe some new-forming couple snapshots.  | |

it would be awesome if someone was coming from tennessee that i could ride with.

Any POF member can attend, and they are not required to rsvp.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
I would like to have everyone attend the event that wants to.
However, the reality is that Winchell's won't be big enough for everyone that would like to attend.
With that in mind, ask yourself, "How lucky do I feel?" If you live around the corner, and the place is full, not too big a deal. If you decide you're flying in from Europe and there isn't room for you, at least swear at me in another language. Everyone gets to decide for themselves. I'm giving you fair warning on the probability that Winchell's will fill up, and the staff will invoke a maximum occupancy rule.
