Um I can't make it that early but some of us are hopefully meeting up 7:30/8 at least, I'll be starving by then anyway, so it may be earlier!!

a good pizza right about now sounds great... just can't convince someone to order it LOL...

sounds good Susie, I doubt I'll make it that early myself, although I went to bed at 3a.m. (wide awake) and just woke up at 7:30, I suppose I can take a nap this afternoon before going out, after I'm done browsing apartment complexes and the areas...

oh and a pizza at 1:30 ( or whenever you posted that...) sounded good to me too; I fixed my own din din last night, a thick chicken quesadilla and by the time I was finished was stuffed, unfortunately it didn't stick to the ribs LOL

Have lots to do today, so I better get to it!

I like Montelle's on hwy 94, it's mabe 6 or 7 miles south of 40. You can't bring food in because they do sell it in their store. Any other suggestions ??

someone please text me in the morning when you all decide where you may end up, so I can do the map thing and figured out how to get there! I enjoy the wineries when the weather is awesome like it's going to be very soon (this weekend LOL);

not sure which one yet. go to the St Charles county thread if you are wanting to attend this get together..... post replies on there so we are all in one spot,... and to find out which one peeps have decided to go to!!

Sugar Creek Winery open 12:00-5:30 636-987-2400
located 125 Boone Country Lane in Defiance MO
hwy 40-61 turn south onto hwy 94 12 miles on the right. look for sign.
You can also get there from washington MO Hwy 47 to 94

BBQ at winery starts at 12:00
playing at noon Ivan smith 1:00-5:00 plays classical guitar, blues with metal string, he is in a rock band too.
This winery you can bring picnic basket and coolers with FOOD only. No other beverages can be brought into winery - including water and soda.



Bumenhof Vinyard -- 13699 S hwy 94 Marthasville (Dutzow MO) 800-419-2245
right off of HWY 94 in Dutzow MO look for the sign. opens at noon-5:30
it says picnicking is permitted only for guests. does not say anything about NOT bringing your own water or soda- so I guess it is ok to do so.

Big Muddy Blues Fest - Labor Day Weekend

Hey all,

Lesa and I are going to do the Clean Stream Float down at Bennett Springs (Niangua River) this weekend. We are leaving Friday morning and won't be home til Monday evening...whoooo hooooo ...

Camping should be great with this weather...anyone want to join us...let us know...otherwise, all enjoy this weekend, be safe .

Yes, there are many, many things happening Labor Day Weekend around St Louis. The best , of course, is the Big Muddy Blues Festival.


Plans are on the 6th that the kiddo and I will be at the Missouri Lottery Main Stage to see the Larry McCray Band. I assume I'll be there a bit earlier than 9:00 pm so if you're going to be around let me know!

BTW If your down @ the landing for the Big Muddy and want to get inside for a bit its a short Jaunt to the Millinium (formerly the Clarion ) Hotel where the National Steel Guitar Convention is going on There will be a lot to see for free and if you decide there will be over 100 different bands playing in the Ballroom for not much money
