Turkey Dinner with the family on Sunday. Then hopefully hanging out with a good friend that I haven't seen in long while, at least if feels that way. Have great weekend everyone!

I've been invited to my future son-in-laws for TG dinner tomorrow....and I (for the life of me) cannot remember a holiday turkey I have not cooked myself in at least 20 years !!....so that will be a HUGE treat for me.....But I am also making a turkey on Monday here for my children and their partners.....alas I have not bought a dining room set for my new home yet so we are having a picnic....they KNOW me well so are all way cool with that prospect....(one never knows what to expect from Mom....always good to keep the kids guessing).....anyway.....Happy Thanksgiving to you all......I for one will spend part of that day counting my many blessings !

Anyone needing a laugh this Thanksgiving, because they ate too much turkey yesterday, haven't had their dinner yet tonight, or didn't get invited or were denied the opportunity to spend an evening with family or friend might get a chuckle from these turkey cartoons.

My bird is in the oven and yes, in consideration of the fact it has no feathers I did turn the heat on.

I shared repast with some of my boyfriend's wonderful family. What a welcoming bunch. Ate too much turkey yesterday and having a wonderful snuggle/movie day today. What more is there?

We got up early this morning and continued to clean up the carnage (must have used every pot, dish, piece of silverware and wine glass in the place!!!)
Last nights dinner was wonderful. The belated birthday present of a Swarovski Crystal Sunflower in pot from my painting mentor Rudy made it that much more special.
I am truly thankful to have my loving family and my special friends as part of my life....

Right now am taking a break from cooking the turkey and vegetable filling, and making the pastry for "mom's" homemade turkey pot pies ... (sorry folks, they are all spoken for!)
Of course I made sure I saved enough of the left over turkey for my dinner tonight
