I don't know if it is the accent or what it is. Actually i have met Australian men online and they are just way more open and are gifted with good comunication qualities. The majority of the men that i have met here in Canada....are more self centred and block out things other then what they are interested in or what they want to talk about. They don't seem to have alot of manners.
Hmmm well anyone can put on airs and graces online, it's once you get to know the true them that all will reveal itself. Ahh what a shock you might get if you decide to meet one of these Aussie men and find out that beer and footy are much more important to them than you ever will be  | |

I like Canada (spent a few weeks in the Edmonton 'burbs) and Canadians and wouldn't hesitate to date a Canadian again. For one thing it would create a very good reason to keep on going back.

I guess i should have reworded the question a bit. I was just stating that every Australian man that i have spoken to has been very easy to talk to and very polite. I totally agree that you have to spend time with someone to actually find out their true personality and views on relationships. I think there are good and bad from all countries and it is likely the same wherever you are. Thank you all so much for your comments. Hopefully someday i will be lucky enough to visit your beautiful country! | |

I don't know what to think.
Sweet Lord have mercy.
After reading all these glowing tributes to Canadian womenfolk I was thinking I'd be a fool to meself if I didn't go out and get some of that Canuck feminine action!
But then - horrified - I made this mind-wrenchin' discovery in Canadian Walmarts and now I'm really not so sure.
Say it isn't so...surely not all Canadian women need this sort of industrial strength treatment?

Our male/female ratio is about the same as yours and I'm sure you'll find nice and nasty everywhere. Considering the demographics of Canada mean that the 'majority of men' are the minority population... hope you haven't shot yourself in the foot there.

Cos then you'd have to come over here and find out that our manners are not always quite as they appear, like when an Aussie guy calls you princess, sounds perfectly polite, but there's a translation needed. Is it the same over there?
Our Aussie humour can be a bit hard to take sometimes too, OP and some folks just don't get us. Most of us banter but don't mean any harm. From my own experiences I've found people are people, wherever you look. | |

Had one for a short time untill some French Canadien Immigration guy told me to get out of the country cos I overstayed my visa by 5 days.
Was just the pits,Got treated like I was Charles Manson,get out and stay out,were his words.

I got an accent saturation when I stayed with a Canadian friend in Edmonton, Alberta a few years ago. I only heard one Aussie accent whilst wandering through West Edmonton Mall and I headed the other way.
I have nothing against Aussie girls - I was married to one. But if I was going to hook up with someone with O/S connections, the Canadian accent is kinda cute and I liked the country. | |
