| Are men uncomfotable when a woman doesn't shave her ARMPITS? Posted: 12/29/2005 12:04:21 AM | Here are some views infavor of women being comfotable and less conditioned by society... I found these on another forum. I thought it was supportive to those who enjoy a womans natural state. Or perhaps support women/girls who feel pressure to conform to societies standards or beauty. I am not trying to change the hairless wonders viewpoints as it has never been a big deal to me. No offense intended.
Interestingly enough woman shaving really only started about 50 yrs ago. Prostitues shaved to show they had no lice.
"I am a 42 year old male who personally finds shaven armpits to be disgusting. They look swollen from the injury of having the skin scraped with a weapon. I am personally puzzeled as to why there has been a tendency towards feminine depilation over the course of this century, unless it is some plan of a bunch of closet pedophiles to try to make the women of the world look like pre-pubescent little girls. Body hair is a sign of sexual maturity. In my opinion, the only person who could be conciously sexually attracted to a depilated partner is either a closet pedophile, or a sadist who wants to deprive the partner of their adult identity. I realize that this is an extreme interpretation, but nevertheless, this is how I feel. Just because men have more body hair than women does not mean that a woman's body hair is unfeminine. It means that she is a sexually mature adult."
"Underarm hair is natural. It can be sexy, ugly, fascinating, and everything else. What is silly is how some women are disgusted by it, disgusted by their own bodies. Whether you shave, trim or just let it grow wild, you should be comfortable with yourself and not fixated on a few follicles that are there naturally"
So I suppose all of the following should be disregarded as "unnatural":
washing showering brushiing your teeth feminine hygiene products wiping your ass clothing eyeglasses condoms cutting and styling hair all skin care remedies and products using deodorant etc etc etc
What separates us from other animals is the fact that we have evolved in a unique way over millions of years. This means changes; physically, mentally, emotionally, sociologically, and environmentally.
Calling shaving some kind of closet pedophilia is just plain silly.

| Are men uncomfotable when a woman doesn't shave her ARMPITS? Posted: 1/14/2007 9:27:18 PM | | Seems like the women are even more uncomfortable than men... then again, as long as I'm comfortable in my own skin, why should I care what someone else thinks? Hair, no hair, it all goes in and out of style every few years anyway. | |

| Are men uncomfotable when a woman doesn't shave her ARMPITS? Posted: 1/14/2007 9:42:27 PM | Funny, I'd heard that women started shaving their armpits because the deodorant or razor companies or something had good advertising... something like how we all need to have gleaming white teeth now because the TV tells us too. Wikipedia says it was magazine advertising in 1915. We are such slaves to the media. And yes, in many parts of the world, it's not considered as important. There is also a role of pheremones the Wikipedia article refers to - that part of the armpit hair actually releases a pheremone related to sexuality, so it tells another person that you are sexually mature.
Just a few fascinating facts!

| Are men uncomfotable when a woman doesn't shave her ARMPITS? Posted: 9/30/2007 10:38:19 AM | | Well, I personally couldn't stand hairy underarms. I never shaved my legs much because I don't have alot of hair. My fiance has thrown all my razors away. He thinks hairy airpits and legs are the sexiest thing ever. I have gotten used to it and become comfortable in it. As far as I am concerned, any man who is worth your time isn't going to care about what is underneath your arms or on your legs. | |
