| Are men uncomfotable when a woman doesn't shave her ARMPITS? Posted: 2/3/2009 11:12:32 PM | Cultural Pavlovian conditioning.
If you want to live your life following cultural norms, forever mindful of what others think or say about you... good luck. In another world and society, you would likely be attracted to women's long necks and distended mouths or gigantic earlobes with discs. You will find a branch hanging between nostrils exciting and sexy. You will not understand how anyone could be attracted to the researcher who comes into your village whose face hasn't been distorted and pitted by ritual scarring. Your world revolves around these tribal rules your elders say have to be followed.
But if you want to live your own life without being a slave to ever changing fickle rules made by others which they say you should follow, more power to you.

Posted: 2/4/2009 4:55:53 AM | ^^^^^ I think it was/is a very good investment, as I think of all the hours that are saved from not needing to shave,, that leaves so much more time for other things.. Plus no more liquid plumber is needed for the shower drain,, again a cost saving..

How odd that we live in a culture that finds the natural body revolting. I wonder why. How did this happen?
Probably social conditioning from birth or something. And it did a good job, because I really really dislike seeing armpit or leg hair on women... Among other types of hair.

Playboy and porn. If you browse both from different countries, it's not the same. The same can be said about plastic surgery. Other countries are more natural.

It can feel oddly uncomfortable, and living in so-cal doesn't give me the option of the winter excuse.lol. But to the shaving and rash part of your armpits it could be the razor, shaving cream and deodorant, trying waxing, Nair, or laser hair removal. I think back to the days when I was young and hairless, lol. I don't remember being born hairy lol. But I do agree if I lived somewhere else where being hairy was a part of the culture I'd be rolling in looking like Bigfoot.

| Are men uncomfotable when a woman doesn't shave her ARMPITS? Posted: 2/4/2009 11:47:11 AM | I've been thinking about the hairy arm pit idea on a woman, Overall, I'm not really in to any hair on a woman, except for her head,, long hair is great,, and a little by her sweet spot,,
My thought is,, I love pleasing a woman, I enjoy pleasing and kissing every inch of her, toes included (if they are in good shape).. So I 'm thinking as I'm pleasing the sides of her breasts,, moving up her body,, toward her arm pit area, the last thing I want is hair,, or a clump of deodorant in my mouth.. (slightly kidding on the deodorant thing).. anyway,, some/MOST women love being kissed and licked and massaged,, their entire body,, and if that's the case,,, help a man enjoy what he enjoys doing by not leaving hair,, just that interruption of removing a hair from my throat, doesn't kill the moment,, but takes away from the sensation I'm trying to achieve for her,,it's the wondering of where I'm going to kiss and please next while she lays there and enjoys,, that all gets delayed and the effect is not the same,,has to be restarted all over again..
Just my opinion.. | |

And it seems that many are only sexually attracted to an altered version but dont seem to wonder if thats sexually healthy? I am sure the "preference" patrol will be here to set me straight soon.....

| Are men uncomfotable when a woman doesn't shave her ARMPITS? Posted: 2/5/2009 8:23:25 AM | It's a funny question, as I'm just old enough to recall a time where shaved armpits weren't necessarily expected, albeit appreciated...
If the woman has an attractive physique to ME (and by MY definition, that's a slender build with a reasonable bosom, tight hips and buttocks), then it's not a deal-breaker. She can still be attractive despite the hair so long as we're not talking foot-long "Oh my God I think she has a human head tucked under there" hair...
I realized this upon watching some vintage 70's movies where there was a beautiful blonde actress starring in a B-movie role with full frontal nudity... I kept thinking to myself that there was something peculiar about her alluring body, but I couldn't quite place it. Then I finally took two seconds to stop staring at her boobs and realized she had her armpit hair intact!
It was weird at first, maybe even a little shocking, but she was just a stunning natural beauty, in as close to natural form as Hollywood gets. She even had her pubic hair intact, and it still wasn't off-putting.
So my take is that if the woman has a sublime body, the hair isn't a deal-breaker. However given our modern day cultural shift to expected oral sex, a little grooming is just common courtesy if you expect people to pay up close attention to "certain areas"...

I'm from "here", so I always heard that Brits and other Europeans were non-shavers. lol! A few years ago I went on a vacation to Europe, and discovered that the Brits, Germans, Russians, etc. that I encountered were super-shavers! I mean, not just the legs and armpits. I've experienced both au naturel and shaving. I recently stopped shaving my pits b/c I only have a few almost invisible armpit hairs. I prefer shaved legs, and the other optional area is, well, optional. God bless diversity! I know hairy men and hairless men. I don't prefer one over the other. We are all unique.

How odd that we live in a culture that finds the natural body revolting. I wonder why. How did this happen? I'm no anthropologist, but I think you would be hard pressed, indeed, to find a single instance throughout history of a human culture which didn't practice some form of body adornment or modification. I don't know the whys and wherefores but that seems to be the way it is and always has been. I wouldn't make any bets on it changing any time soon.

Posted: 10/3/2009 5:12:56 AM | | I know there are parts of the world where this is more acceptable, however my gut level reaction would be that it would remind me of a man. Today, even some men are shaving their arm pits so who knows, but that was my first thought.

| pits Posted: 10/3/2009 12:33:27 PM | Laser it off. Super convenient, immensly worth it and soooo affordable! I'm ever so glad I don't need to shave/wax during the summer, or now, when I'm chained to iv tubes in a hospital.
Next project: laser off v-jay-jay and full legs!!!
:-) Best of luck! | |

I've dated girls where they've gone a while without shaving their legs, to the point of a stubbly feeling, including the first times we were intimate. Didn't bother me at all, they were embarassed though.
