her whole life long
never did she complain
her whole life was a song
she died in 2001
i still cry but know in my heart
she never could lift a finger

for out of the corner of my eye
a young deer just walked by
slowly sniffing and nibbling
the fresh wet grass
in the gentle rain
autumn scene mirroring the beauty
of this most graceful being.....
i slowly creep to the window
sensing another might follow
feeling like my cats
when they're on the prowl.....
just as i'm thinking to stop
another skip of my heart
for a second young deer comes
walking quicker in the rain
right across my backyard again.....
my spirits lift with happiness
feeling this gift is a wonderful omen
so i offer it here on your thread
this vision of deer such an inspiration
as so many do here, you beautiful women!

you poop everywhere,black balls round and firm
you eat my whole garden like a parasitic worm
You've killed off just about every living thing
if it's green...it's gone... and i'm not lying

you won't eat the goodies i put out for you
but you invite your clan with no regard to
the bushes and landscape you lay waste to

shaky and turbulent,
hooked on the bean,

with a quick injection

to, at least, artifact state,
soon to be dancing
upon my discovery

gives a sensual primal shower
while tiny fish kiss my toes
everyone is smiling and playing like children
in the bright desert sun, as Eve in the garden did
before she knew how to cry her sorrow
I'll climb
from hot pools to swim in cool water
choosing the temperature depending on my mood
and my company
the trees will welcome me
offering soft white sand to stretch out on
and a whispering green canopy for my shelter
a few miles of mountain road
